safe to bring?

Question Posted Thursday August 7 2008, 2:50 pm

At the end of august i'm flying from New York to Las Vegas, the flight is a good 6 hours.
I have this scrunching mousse from sunsilk that I want to bring, but I'm not sure if its safe.
It comes in a can, like an aerosol can, and it says "contents under pressure" and to not store it at temperatures above 120 degrees [F]
I know for sure it's not allowed in carry-ons, but if i put it in my checked luggage would it be fine?

Thanks.

By the way, the can is 7oz if that makes a difference..

It would be fine in your luggage but just remember to put it in a large ziplock bag and zipped all the way.

You can pack it in your checked luggage. Make sure that the cap is on, and put it in a Ziploc bag just to make sure it doesn't spill all over your stuff on accident. It might help to wrap the can up in clothing too, to make sure it doesn't dent. They don't confiscate aerosols from checked baggage so you should be fine.

you can only bring bottles of up to 3 oz in a carry on, and i'm pretty sure you're not allowed to bring anything aerosol on the plane because they need to pressurize the air and it could burst. I'm not to sure about that fact though. But i am possitive that it has to be 3 oz or less. I do A LOT of traveling.

Have fun in Vegas, I loved it there!
hope this helped!
if you need any other traveling tips just ask :]

I wouldn't bring it on the plane, Only because nowadays almost anything toxic can't be borded. If I were you I would wait until arrival and maybe buy some mousse at a convience store.
