You can ask them how they are, how is their summer going, how they did on their report card, if they have any sibilings, etc! anything really, i dont find it weird when someone tries to start a convorsation with me ;] thats how they usually start.
have fun!

I'm not going to tell you that you shouldn't add people you don't know very well, because one, you've already been told ;], and two, that isn't your question.

You could always start off with the cliché conversation of:

Hey
Hey
What's up?
Nothing much, you?
Oh nothing. I'm just listening to music or whatever.

You can always talk about your favorite bands, colors, books, etc. Talk about stuff like that until you find something you both enjoy, and then keep talking about that.

Talk about what you're doing this weekend, what you did this weekend, or something of that nature.

Just go with the flow, really. We can't map out your conversations for you ;]

Good luck =]

**EDIT**
I didn't tell you not to. Go back and read what I said up in the first sentence. I said that I wasn't going to tell you not to. That's none of my business. And I what I said was just as useful as the other columnists. It's not my job to say this, but don't rate a one unless what is said is illegal or harmful. I didn't say anything illegal or harmful.

You can say "hey, thats for the add""i really liek your page""how are you?""i noticed you like (insert band name) i like them too" something like that.

but you really shouldn't be adding people you dont know, because you dont know who they are behind the computer screen.Just don't ever give out personal information to strangers.

Well, if they are people that you know, otherwise I don't recomend adding people you have no clue who they are to your myspace.

But, if you have talked to them before or met them at least, a simple:

"Hey, How are you?" or
"What are you up to?"
Or something of the sort is usually a good conversation starter. After that usually a topic comes up and then boom, you have a convesation.

Email me if you have any other questions or just to talk!

P.S. I don't mind ratings or feedback :)
