I'm confused on what to do with it. I sent announcements to about 30 people. Must I use it toward school, or can I use it for whatever I want? I'm assuming I can use it for whatever I want, but I sort of feel bad using people's money for my personal shopping and whatnot, haha. Also, does anyone know about how much money I'll get for that amount of invitations? I'm the oldest in my family, so I have no idea what to expect!

So its better to save it up. For my graduation party I got $200 and I left it alone. But when i got to school I had to buy a million and one things. And your going to want to do stuff like go out or activities so I advise to just save it and wait because it will come in handy later. If you are going away to college or university, my advice to you would be to save 75% of whatever you get, and use the remaining 25% to treat yourself to something extra special. Put it towards a car or a special piece of jewelry that will help you commemorate the event.
Frankly, if you are going to post-secondary, saving the majority of it is only going to make your life easier and less stressful, and isn't that what grad gifts are really about: Continuing your success. [ Razhie's advice column | Ask Razhie A Question ]

I gave my niece 200 for her graduation and she got a makeover. I was happy about that. So, enjoy yourself, its a reward for what you already did not aid for what you are about to do. Have fun and congrats. [ glockgirl40's advice column | Ask glockgirl40 A Question ]
