i need to tell you something, and please just listen to everything i have to say because i have an explanatin.i lied to you yesterday and i really needed to get it off my chest.veronica[her pretend name]came to me and asked if i would do that for ehr,we werent really goof friends or anything but she promised if we got caught she would take all the blame.so,without thinking,i did it.but i feel really bad for what i did AND lying to you and i know there are consequences to what we do,so i am her and am ready to take full responsibility[he'll respect you for this].mmkay?good luck!

Once when I was in 11th grade, my "friend" brought these prescription pills to school and put one in my purse for me to take later. I was never actually going to take it, and I was planning on throwing it out when I got home. But someone saw us that morning and turned us in. I knew nothing good would come from lying, so I just told the truth.
Unfortunately, I did get suspended. But because I was so honest and cooperative, the assistant principal made the effort to let my parents know that, before I got into too much trouble.
Luckily for you, I doubt you'll get suspended. In my case, drugs were involved, which, as I'm sure you know, is highly frowned upon at ANY school.
You'll probably get into some kind of trouble, such as in-school suspension or detention, but maybe not. Even though you lied in the first place, coming back to tell the truth showed true maturity and responsibility for your actions, and I'm sure your school will appreciate that.
In the meantime, just try to relax, and if you haven't already, give your parents the heads-up that you could be in trouble, but that you're really sorry and never meant any harm.
Whatever happens, will happen. You can't stop the future, but you can still learn from it in the end.

You've done the right thing by asking to be called to the office tomorrow. Confessing would be the best option, just tell the truth. There is a possibility that the school will be able to see your maturity for owning up and take your good record into account and be less severe with punishment. It's unlikely that you will get suspended, especially if you have been honest. However, there is still a chance that you will get into trouble and if you do, then learn from this mistake. If coming outright and saying "I lied" is too hard, start telling the story from the beginning, just as you did here.
Explain that yes, you did lie because you were scared to tell the truth, but you decided to face the music.
And yes, going to tell the truth is the best thing.
