I'm fat. I wanna get skinny and fast.

Question Posted Sunday March 16 2008, 6:08 pm

M'kay well...
I'm 13 and I'm going into High School next year
I'm about 194 lbs
But I don't look it!
To me I like like 150 lbs
But anyway...I wanna be thin.
I want a flat stomach because I'm tired of loosing every guy I like to 'skinny girls'
Not to be mean to thin girls
Hell my best friend is thin
But thats off topic
My Mom wants me to go on diet pills.
But I'm stubborn and say 'no'
I try to eat right
But I just cant help but eat my snack foods
Can you someone please list some way I can get thin by September of 2008?
I don't wanna go into High School fat and have people make fun of me.....

Ask you mom to take you to a weight loss program like Jenny Craig or Weight Watchers or Curves. A program that gives you diet AND exercise help. Belonging to a group like that is really helpful!

I don't know about diet pills but i don't think that they would work. [just like the people before me] anyway, i think that you should fins something that you really enjoy and just do that. For example, if you like to dance, just dance and get exercise videos that all have to do with dancing. same thing goes for running BUT you can't find videos on that =] to stay away from the snack food, you should have it as a "treat" if you did an hour of running and walking treat yourself to 1 -- only 1 -- bag of 100 calorie brownies or something else that has little or no calories. stay away from gatorade as it is pure sugar and will just cause you to bloat. also, don't drink energy drinks, pop or coffe. try to stay more twards the water and vitimen water etc.

hope i helped

I know how you feel about the thin girl & boys thing! I'm average, and my friend is like a copy of me but really thin, and guys still like her more lol.

Like the person below me said, don't take diet pills. They're a waste of money and will not help you.

I guess I should also state that people will not make fun of you as long as you have confidence. Like walking with your head up/facing straight makes a big difference from looking down all the time.

Firstly, to become thin, you have to find an alternative to eating your snacks. Like instead of eating a bag of chips, eat fruits that you like, yogurt, or a granola bar. Always eat 5 small meals a day, include your proteins which help build muscles-- which speeds up your metabolism-- which burns fat faster, get your fat intake (not like junk food, but more like using vegetable oil for cooling), etc.

For exercise, start of small and do not overwork yourself. You can start with brisk walking, do not run if you can't fun long distances because it'll make you flabby, for 10-15 minutes. Or riding a bike for a period of time. Once you get used to it, increase the time. Do not stick with routines, because your body will get used to it and fat loss will slow down. You must exercise atleast 3 times a week. If you have weights, those can help also-- burning fat-wise. Also, it's always good to do some toning exercises (sit-ups, crunches, lunges, squats, etc.).

Also, it'd be good if you set small goals for yourself. Like 1-2 pounds a week (you could possibly lose more because of your weight), because if you achieve them, you'll feel much better about yourself and more motivated.

Hope I helped :)

Hi,
Look to be honest with you I went through the same thing as you are going through about 10yrs ago. First let me tell you diet pills are a complete NO!!!! You have to understand you are a young woman and your body is going through all these weird changes that you have to adjust too.
Clothes don't fit exactly like you want them to, and everyday seems different. Ok but look you can control your size with no problem listen closely...... First remember when we have our periods certain things can bring weight gain, such as red meat, heavy salt, and soda. Now that you know what may cause the fat to stick around you can watch what you consume during that time of the month (before it comes and after). Also walking is an excellent easy way to lose 10-25 pounds if done on an everyday basis. Dancing and singing can also help with weight loss and it can be fun and make remarkable results. I want you to know I understand completely what you are going through. Things will begin to change once you change your outlook on the goals you want to achieve for yourself. Just remember you have to gain control of what you eat and remember if you have a moment where you go overboard with snacks, just know you have alot of water to drink and alot of dancing/walking to do, Keep a balance between what you eat and your physical activities.

Drink ALOT of water.
Cut out every drink you enjoy, and replace it with 7-8 cups of water. (It might seem hard, but once you get into the habit, you'll love water.)
Cardio, go on a 10 minute bike ride everyday. Run for 5 minutes twice a day, before you go to bed do about 30 bike crunches.
DO NOT GO ON DIET PILLS. They are bad for you.
Non fat dairy helps speed up metabolism.
If you eat when you're bored (like everyone else does) Buy sugar free gum to keep your mouth busy, and try something like painting your nails.
eat small meals 5 times a day [like toast and yogurt for breakfast, some fruits before lunch, etc..] It boasts metabolism too.
And Give it time.
