depression or not

hey,
would you classify this as depression or something else.
*Wanting to be alone most of the time.
*getting really upset over nothing.
*self harming(cutting etc).
*not talking much when normally really social.
*pushing away friends.
*feeling excluded from people.
Etc. Etc.
Thanks heaps.

ok i have depression and yes these are symtoms and there are more like headaches and just hating everything anger and modesawings so dependings on the age you can get meds but there highly addictive and i do not advise it there are many other ways to help urself

my best friend classifies himself as depressed and he is. he has many of those symptoms so the person you are talking about may be depressed as well. if its you, you should talk to someone about it..it doesnt have to be your parents cause i think that that would be the hardest people to talk to it about..but maybe your school guidance counselor, a friend, or ask your parents for a therapist..if its not you..then talk to your parents or someone you trust..try and get help for them. good luck

This is not a topic to fool around with. depression is a very serious thing and if you believe you are depressed you should see a doctor. It might be difficult to talk about, but it is something that you need to do for yourself.

i'm having a hard time dealing with that too. some days are better than others...but then i did recently moved. but my mom did tell me that i'm just going through a difficult time and we look for pain to not feel...and we feel as though ppl we care about don't understand or help, so i guess we keep to ourselves

Yes, that is a form of depression, especially the self harming part. Look at this link, read it, and there is a part at the bottom that says symptoms of depression.
