well, don't worry about what they have to say...
make sure you take care of your injury and when you are better get in shape..
plus they shouldn't make fun of you because you have an excuse ]
Wow. i totally know how you feel.Im a cheerleader and my whole squad is made up of skinny girls and then theres me. Il be the first to admit im CHUBBY. And even though there not guys and people dont understand why it bugs me to jump haha and dance and just you know around girls because "who am i trying to impress" its just as nervwracking. Hunny just do it. Ispent to much time worrying what people would say. I made friends when i got my confidence up higher. Believe in yourself. Im sure your a beautiful girl. Do the best you can with your knee. Have a high confidence level and believe your beautiful! Make friends be loud and outgoing so people know your a cool girl. Just have fun. Ok im know its easier said and done but in the end youl be so much more happier you did. GOODLUCK. i hope everything goes okay. and i hoep i helped.! ]
Be confident (or fake it) and ignore people who tease you. If you want to get in shape, look for a low-impact exercise like swimming that you could do. Running on an elliptical is also very easy on joints. Before you start anything I'd check with a doctor though, to make sure you're doing everything right & see if you need to take a supplement for your joints or anything like that.
Also, dress in clothes that flatter you. This rule applies to everyone really... you'll feel a LOT more confident in, say, yoga pants as opposed to SUPER short shorts. Know what I mean? Pants will also help cover your brace, and a lot of people wear them so chances are it won't be noticed anymore than shoelaces will be.
Lastly, remember that it's just a class and the top thing on most people's mind is "When is this class OVER?" =) Honestly! Just have fun. Well, as much fun as anyone can have in gym class anyways.

Dont think of yourself as the biggest girl in gym class. Theres alot of heavier people in the world and if people cant handle it then they dont deserve to be your friend. Even if your not, just pretend like your confident.

One of my friends hurt her knee badly a few years ago. She is in my choir class, and we have to dance for that choir. She has to wear a knee brace, but we all know that she hurt herself, so we look out for her. If her knee hurts, and she says she can't dance (which isn't often) we don't get on to her for not dancing. Are there friends in your gym class? Maybe they could help you out. Explain to your teacher that you hurt yourself, and they should let you go at your own pace. And don't worry about being skinny. I'm not either! Just have confidence in yourself, and you'll do fine. Maybe you could have your gym teacher show you some knee exercises so you can strengthen it so it won't hurt so bad. Good luck!!!! :3 ]
Just have confidence! If one of the girls ask why you are not in shape, explain to them that your knee surgery has stopped you from making healthier choices. Remember that, of course there will always be people saying this and that and picking on you or her but if you don't let it get to you, you win. ]
