its biting because it wants to play. puppies when with other puppies usually playfully bite each other. If the puppy is waging its tail and biting, then its playing. But, if it growls and shows its teeth, it might be unsure about the hand.
I suggest buying a chew toy, because your puppy might be teething.(theething is when puppies bite almost everything)
also, praise the dog when it doesnt bite or if it only sniffs, and say "no" or something like that in a deep stern voice if it is biting hands.
My puppie always was biting my hair but grew out of it.I use the method above if it keeps biting.

Yea puppies bite but thats just their nature. But if the puppy doesnt know you then i suggest you hold out your hand so they get smell you so they can get to know your scent. because they like spaz out if you just try to pet them. and talk real gental to it.

Most puppy do bite, they are either playing or are teething. It's not anything to worry about. But when they do bite you need to tell them "NO", and be strict about it. They need to understand what the word no means. Hope i helped =)

Puppies bite. When it bites, say "NO". Don't hit it or anything though, obviously. It'll eventually grow out of it. :)

you want to first let the puupy familierize with you. pass by it, but dont pet. look at his reaction. then start walking closer to him. dont pet him yet. do this. after wards put your hand by the puppies nose. let him sniff it, this way he will know your safe. pet him, if he still tries to bite, stop! buy some chew toys and let him bite them. also next time you go by him , take a treat. he will come himself and be happy with you. it should be fine.

Either it does not know any better, or it could be teething. You need to train it not to bite.

If you got it from someone else it was probably trained to bite. A good way to train it out of that style is to reward it for good behavior. The dog will learn what is right and wrong. Give it treats maybe four times a day and about a week the dog should catch on. And when it is being good and letting you pet it nicely say good dog, nice dog.
