A online relationship is when you stumble upon a good person over the internet most likely find common interests one of them tells them how they feel like they want to be more then friends basically asking you out but its more complicated since its long distance most of them time. Online relationships are very difficult to work unless both are committed. What i like about online relationships are that people look at you for whats on the inside not on the outside. So if you do ever get into one don't be embarrassed to say it. I know plenty of people that are. I hope i didn't leave anything out. Also if you do get into one be careful there are a lot bad people out there try not to give more information about yourself then you have to.

You meet them online (chatrooms etc) and have a "relationship" online (without meeting them). If you meet them It's a long distance relationship.
If you're thinking about being in one, I'd advise against it. They're obviously hard work.

LM answered Thursday January 10 2008, 12:33 pm:
I've always considered an online relationship to be with a person that you've never met. If you meet someone in real life, but your primary form of communication is through the internet because of where you live, that would be a long-distance relationship (if you're boyfriend/girlfriend) or, if it's just a friendship, I guess you coulc consider it an online relationship anyways. Definitions will vary depending on who you ask, but if someone says "we have an online relationship" you can almost guarantee that they barely, if ever, see each other physically.

Hope that helped!
