First you must reflect everything that you have done, analyze it, relive it, is there something that you did wrong that you're still doing wrong? Maybe God is calling you up to the next level of His love. maybe He's trying to show you and bring you to new heights. Pray about it and follow His Spirit.

Be safe

Hi Allie nice to meet you

Personaly i believe that if you think too hard on what god wants from you, you'll end up stressing out and think you're doing everything wrong. Callings from out creater take a while especially as young as you are, i wouldn't really worry about it, but if you are concerned then maybe take the time and enjoy the visual that he's given us. For example the sunrise, the ocean, the wind, you'd be amazed how many stories the wind tells if you just listen to it one day. God gives out callings to those who he deems ready for it. To have a better relationship with god i think would be to just live your life while continueing to be a good person, that's how you live for him. So once in a while take a deep breathe and exhale those worrys, cause someday you mind just realize who you really are and what you're ment for, remember it's not his calling it's yours taht will come in time. Hope this helps

As others have said, you're going to get conflicting advice about how to seek a deeper relationship with God. Everybody reaches this point at some time in their lives. It can be a pretty exciting time.

If you see God as the Father, and seek to be a child of God, remember that part of a father's job is to make sure the kids grow up. God's going to send you a lot of curveballs and unusual circumstances to see what you do with them. Don't expect all your troubles to vanish, simply because you're pious.

Do a lot of reading: definitely read as much of the Bible as you can, but also read theologians: C. S. Lewis, Madeline L'Engle, Robert Farrar Capon, Matthew Fox, St. Teresa of Avila, Meister Eckhart, Richard Bach, on and on and on. Read, learn, and think.

Find the things that bring you joy. Not just make you happy or feel good, but actual joy. Learn how to make something, or play a simple instrument, or volunteer somewhere, or make movies or podcasts, write poetry or stories or fanfics, cook good food, find something that feeds your soul and do it diligently. This will help you figure out who and what you are, and will help you define your relationship with God.

Finally, remember this classic line from "The Frisco Kid": "...[H]e doesn't make rain. He gives us strength when we're suffering. He gives us compassion when all that we feel is hatred. He gives us courage when we're searching around blindly like little mice in the darkness... but He does not make rain! [Thunder and lightning begin, followed by a downpour] Of course... sometimes, just like that, he'll change His mind."

Good luck.

There are a lot of conflicting opinons out there and in the advice you will be given about who god or God is and what he wants from you as a person or Christian will be dependent upon the beliefs of the answerer....no one can give you an objective answer, or the only answer for that matter. What made you suddenly realize last month, that you need or wish to have a better relationship with god and what does better mean to you? I can give you better advice if I have a clearer understanding of your particular situation. I wish you the best and hope you are finding your answers...let me know if I can help more.

Hello Allie,

It's wonderful you want to have a better... well, let's call it a deeper relationship with God. It sounds like God has laid on your heart that it's time to go to the next level of relationship with Him. This is a big deal, Allie. You are probably in for a spiritual growing time like you have never seen before. Think of it as a caterpillar that's about to be spun into a cocoon. and I'm sure you know what happens after a time of changing; A beautiful butterfly emerges.

A deeper relationship means letting God surround you with His cocoon of protection and letting Him change your life and make you stronger in Him. This may look different for each individual, but it's a matter of lining up your life and desires with what He personally has for you. God wants you. He loves you with a love you can't fathom.

So remember a few things while you're in the cocoon: diligently seek Him - God will reveal to you what lining up your life means and looks like. Prayer is conversation with your Daddy - We need to come before the Lord with respect as a Father, but He is also your Daddy, so climb up in His lap and talk to Him. Don't forget to listen too. Remember God will NEVER forsake you - Even if He "feels" far away, He's not. And finally, Find friends who love the Lord because bad company will ruin you. (1 Cor. 15:33).

Being 13, you are going to be faced with many temptations in the coming years, but with this desire to go deeper with the Lord, you are off to a terrific start.

It sure did take you long enough to rate the question. Basically, you're retarded and probably going to end up going to hell anyway. You might as well enjoy life and screw God.

God wants everyone to be happy. You should never use his name in vain. You should never curse. You should pray. You should ask for forgiveness. Dont lie. dont cheat. dont steal. Dont kill. Be nice to everyone. Never be something your not.

thats the way i see it. I dont know if you have ever seen these...((which you probably have)) but one of my favorite things from the bible is Luke 1:37 For with God nothing shall be impossible.....

And also the poem footprints. I dont know what it is about it but everytime i read it i just seem to let go of all my worries and fears, and bad feelings. I just know that God will be with me. It really touches me.

Just never forget that even when you dont think he has a care in the world, he is always there, carrying you along the way...

xoxo
