Nice jeans, dressy top, nice shoes (small heels, nice flats, etc), sensible jewelry, and do something nice with your hair.

Just look cute and comfortable. Jeans and a comfortable, but sophisticated top. For example, if I were going, I'd wear my black skinny jeans, polka dotted tunic & flats or converses. Don't be nervous :]

Are his family dressing up for the occasion? Ask him. - if they are, go smartly dressed.
If not, wear whatever you normally would and make sure you're comfortable in it.
If it's for meeting his parents, try to make a nice impression - nothing which shows too much. :)

It really depends on how your boyfriend celebrates it. I don't think that most people dress up, so if I were you I would just wear normal everyday clothes if his family is like that too. But if you really aren't sure and don't have an opportunity to ask him, wear nice black pants and a nice shirt. This way, no matter how other people dress you will be ready for the occasion. You really can't go wrong.
