Okay... I've been off the shot for nearly six months. I had sex unprotetcted over last weekend and I'm wondering if its possible that I'm pregnant. I think it is but im not too sure. My sister said it took her nearly a year and a half to get pregnant, as well as my sister in-law. My other sister that was on the shot is having a problems trying to get pregnant. Do you think I am or What? Im confused~!

Cherry_Blow_Pop answered Thursday October 25 2007, 2:05 pm: Actually, my best friend was on the shot, ended up getting pregnant literally RIGHT after she got off. It is different for everyone because the drug will run differently through different people's bodies. For some, it takes longer for the effect to wear off and be able to get pregnant, for some it's just the opposite. So if you indeed did (and will continue to) have unprotected sex, there is still a chance of you getting pregnant. Just wait and take a pregnancy test to be sure, is all you can do.
fatallygorgeous answered Wednesday October 24 2007, 2:09 pm: I have heard that once you stop getting the shot, it can take a very long time before your body is ready to become pregnant. This is why they don't recommend that young people use the shot for birth control, because it can hurt their chances of getting pregnant later on once they're ready to start a family. Take a pregnancy test. If it's negative, wait a couple of weeks, and then take a pregnancy test again, just to be sure. [ fatallygorgeous's advice column | Ask fatallygorgeous A Question ]
adverb answered Wednesday October 24 2007, 1:48 pm: don't jump to the conclusion that you are, because if you're not then you stressed about nothing. sometimes it takes a while to find out whether you are or not, so just wait a few weeks. take a pregnancy test if you see any signs within the next month or 2. otherwise, just keep it on your mind but don't stress it too much.
