Question Posted Friday October 12 2007, 6:08 pm

ok so i've(im 20) had a crush(he is 20) on this guy for 7 years and i just told him recently how i feel . we talk all the time at least once a day. but the prob. is his best friend(is 19) whom i have no interest in what so ever has a huge crush on me its to the point of obsession and the guy i like used to date my little sister. he is the same age as me though, he just think it be weird to be with me after dating my sister and i also believe he dont wanna hurt his friend's feelings. up till three days ago i thought we were just friends thats it but then he started say he wanted to " Sleep with me" i accidently sent the message to his friend, who says he is just messing with me. but he confroted his frend(my crush) online last nite and i was talking to my crush at the time and he(my crush) said that his friend was asking why he(my crush) was hitting on me . my crush im'd me saying that he could get himself out of trouble with his friend. he told me what he told his friend he said that he was using reverse psychology on me then laugh about it with me. i said twice well he(my crushes friend) dont have anything to worry about its not like u have feelings for me right? and he said he knows what im capable of and he likes u. WHAT SHOULD I DO ? DOES HE LIKE ME OR IS HE JUST MESSING WITH ME? PLZ HELP

First I'm sorry that I didn't get your message sooner and hopefully nothing horrible has happened between now and then.

Let me see if I understand this. Your crush used to date your sister. Your crushes best friend likes you. Your crush won't go out with you because it'd be weird due to having dated your sister. Your crush is also sending mixed signals to his ex gf who is not your sister. Am I up to speed?

Assuming I understand you correctly this is what I call a high drama situation and you don't need it. Mature guys don't mess with your head saying they'll sleep with you, but won't date you and they certainly don't send mixed signals to ex gf's. You don't need to waste your time or energy on your crush, he isn't seriously interested but probably wants to keep you around as a plan b. Plan b is not good. That means you aren't good enough to be plan a, number 1, the top slot, his girlfriend. You deserve to be someones number 1.

Secondly, your crush used to date your sister! The unwritten dating code says thou shalt not date thy sisters ex bf! I don't care how much she says she doesn't care, one day she will and you 2 are sisters and have a bond way better than risking over this immature guy.

As for your crushes friend that likes you, be very careful that you are not leading him on. His feelings for you may eventually go away, especially if you don't return them but be certain you don't take advantage of him. Good friends are hard to come by, don't ruin this friendship by being selfish or cruel.

Ok I think I covered everything. If you need any more help let me know.

Good luck!

I think he likes you, but doesn't really wanna hurt his friend.

And who cares if he watched tv with his ex? There is such a thing as being friends. Just because he watched tv with her doesn't mean anything.

Yes, go to the game & talk to him when you get there. Steal his attention, & dress/act like you normally would. You're going to a football game, it's not that special.

This is a tough one. I think that he wants to do whatever he wants to do with you, but no offense- i think he might be using you. I only think this because no where in here does it say you are dating. You should always start dating him before doing things with him. It may be awkward because he dated your sister, but if you really like him, then form a relationship with him. Leave it on him to consult his friend. You should go to the game. She isn't sure if she likes him yet, so if you like him- get to him first before she does. Do NOT dress in a mini skirt and tanktop and heels. just dont. haha. Maybe if its cold out where a nice pair of jeans with a shirt and a small sweater over it, like those mid rib knit sweaters, and maybe a pair of flats? Just act playful with him,and hopefully things will fall into place.

good luck!

xgirlygurl answered Friday October 12 2007, 5:15 pm:
So, do you want to put him in the position of having to choose wether to put him in the place of chosing between you and his friend who obviously likes you a lot?
Guys always send mixed signals i think its like a law or something that they have to do it. If hes a nice guy then i dont think that he would mess with your head. What did he say when you told him how u feel?
I think tomorrow when you see him dont look like youve tried to hard just dress like you normally do and as for how to act just be yourself and try to talk to him as much as you can really try not to fade into the background, make him remember you dont become someone youre not tho just do what you think is right,
For the dating your sister part ye thts a little bit wierd but obviously theyre not together now so it cant have been all the great between them although it probably would be a good idea to check with your sister first it dependz on how recently they went out.
Youv obviously liked him for a long time so its not like youre doing it out of spite.
Hope this helps
xxx

I think your crush does like you, but doesnt want to hurt his friend. Tell his friend that you don't like him but your crush. There is no reason for your crush to worry about what his friend thinks.
You should totally go to the game!! Steal his attention!! Wear something super cute, but warm(if its going to be cold) Flirt like CRAZY, and ask him to hang out after! I hope I helped && have fun!!<33 =D

I think the guy really does like you, though I wouldn't worry about it. If you're crush says that you two can be together, no matter what his friend says, then that's what you should do. I don't think you should let his friend bother you, though I know it's much easier said than done.

I think you should go to that game and see how things go, if he seems to not pay much attention to you. Then, I wouldn't try anything with this guy because now that I'm reading this second paragraph, I'm realizing that maybe, he might still have feelings for his ex. Which is obviously, never good. I'm not sure how to tell you do dress or act really, because I have never been one to step out and take somebody's attention really. But you could try that and see if it works, whatever you're comfortable with is what you should do.

Honestly, he may not even be worth your time. I mean, it sounds like he's causing you major drama. So I would go to the game and based on what happens there, is what I would make my decision on.

First thing, dont worry.
second, you worded this pretty badly.
Definently go to the game, try to send him some signals, you dont have to go all out, dress normal. It might seem confusing but you just need to get your head straight. If he was sending mixed signals that means there has to be something there, go to the game meet with them, send him signals, And if your feeling really good about it tell him how you feel.
