Okay, I'm emo. Well, my other friends are emo too, but they cut themselves. I don't. I want to know, to be emo, do you have to cut yourself? People are spreading rumors that I cut myself and that I'm a pervert. I mean, sure I have a perverted mind, but I'm immature, give me a brake! can someone explain to me why they would say I cut myself, which I don't, even if I am emo. do I have to cut myself???

but i dont cut because i think its the only way to be emo. i actually know emos that dont cut so i dont think thats what defines an emo.
but yeah i agree it is addictive. i see myself getting worse everytime and id rather yu didnt do it to yourself. im actually getting pretty scared now and im even freaking my friend out (who also cut) so yeah. please dont start doing that. i dont want you to start and eventually get as bad as me. if you feel like you ever want to cut just pierce YOURSELF or something. thats what i do when cutting isnt enough (yeah im that bad) but yeah piercing is better and you can still look cool and not have to hide anything.
as far as those rumors and stuff go, just dont wear any wrist bands or amr coverings for a while or until someone can notice your scar free arms. ^-^
oo and nothings wrong with being a pervert O,<
people think im a lezbo all the time cause i always grab my bestie's boobehs! ( @ )( @ ) [ wereallfucked's advice column | Ask wereallfucked A Question ]
guitar_girl answered Friday December 21 2007, 8:47 am: if your asking if you have to it means that you would only be doing it to fit in.That makes it even worse than cutting yourself because you are emotionally messed up-which is also bad.Dont do it cause like 1 of the other people said its a sickness thats hard to get out of.And by the way im not some person who is sticking my nose into something i know nothing about.A few months ago i started cutting myself as a relief and couldnt stop its addictive like any drug or alchohol.I am also the same age and gender as you.Dont let your self go there.
munchie007 answered Friday October 5 2007, 4:15 pm: cutting yourself to fit in is really immature and if your so called friends are putting razors in your hand and telling you to do it because you'll be emo well then they're not your real friends. And EMO does not mean that you're all sad and you cut yourself emo doesn't mean emotional either. Its just someone who likes to wear black tight pants, dark hair, dark clothes and they usually have the "EMO HAIR". I sometimes even see them wearing black, thick rimmed glasses. Emo is just the way they look. It's a sterotype that all emo's cut themselves. My teacher in school explained this to me because she has emo friends and plus I thought the exact same thing. You can actually look up the word emo. Now, for you if you wanna be emo then just wear dark clothes and dye you hair black and wear those really tight pants. You don't have to cut yourself and don't listen to your immature friends. They are like what 13! Yeah that's not a mature age where you know everything to tell you the truth. WELL, I really hope you can explain to your friends what an emo kid is so you guys dont think it's all about cutting yourself. [ munchie007's advice column | Ask munchie007 A Question ]
confusedXhope answered Sunday September 30 2007, 5:13 pm: Oh, no of course not.
First. all 'emo' means is emotional.
It's just a stupid lable. I get it all the time.
I'll get goth//emo. blah, all that stupid shit.
but I don't lable myself. They think that you cut yourself because people are freaking stupid and think that if you dress some way then you're emo which means you cut. And that's not true. You don't have to cut yourself and you really shouldn't. it's terrible. I know from first hand.
IT GETS YOU NO WHERE.
just be yourself.
See, I am not being mean.
But I don't see why people label themselves emo. All you have to say is you're just you because that is all you are.
I hope I have helped :) [ confusedXhope's advice column | Ask confusedXhope A Question ]
bsktballchick45 answered Wednesday September 26 2007, 9:57 pm: No. No. No. I hate that everyone sterotypes 'emos kids.' That they all cut and if you are 'emo' then you must cut yourself. Well, don't. There are other ways of dealing with life then cutting yourself. If you need to talk to someone, then do so. Talk to a trusted adult, like a parent, a teacher, someone. And try to get help for your friends too. Cutting is a cry for help. Don't cut yourself. [ bsktballchick45's advice column | Ask bsktballchick45 A Question ]
soendearing answered Wednesday September 26 2007, 9:32 pm: No, you don't have to cut yourself. It's just a stereotype.
Be smart and DON'T cut yourself. Don't follow your friends, they're making unhealthy decisions. Try to talk them out of cutting themselves because it's not a good thing to do. [ soendearing's advice column | Ask soendearing A Question ]
yourrtrustyhelpline answered Wednesday September 26 2007, 9:29 pm: no, you don't have to cut yourself, don't do it. they say you do because it's stereotypical for a so called "emo" to cut themselves. but who cares what they say ? they don't know you anyways. don't let their rumors get to you. live your life, and eventually, if you don't react, they'll get bored. it's just what happens. people spread rumors to start drama &be entertained. just ignore it &do your thing. don't let the haters bring you down.
