Francyy_xOx answered Saturday October 13 2007, 1:18 pm: theres a certain spray that you can use that protects your hair. also you should tell your parents to let you iron it 1 time a week. make sure your hair is DRY wen u iron it. i used to iron my hair like 4 times a week & it tottaly fuck up my hair :( but if you really wanna iron it make sure you get the spray & its dry !! Why don't you make your mom pick the days you can straighten your hair? That way you'll show her you care enough to work this way. You know there are hair products you could buy to fix damaged hair and you can use them while straightning your hair . Google hair products on damaged hair and show your parents [ SoxGh3to's advice column | Ask SoxGh3to A Question ]

Tell them to go talk to a hair stylist and then buy this stuff: its a spray that you spray on your dry hair just before you put the iron to it and it completly protects your hair. it can not damage it at all. take my advice. it will work. Your parents are trying to control you on a different level to where you can even have your hair the way they want. Have you ever thought of getting you hair permanently straigthening? Also there are millions of hair styles that you can do to have a cute hairstyle... curling irons are not only for curling the can be also used as a straightener... instead of turning the iron just run it down the strand of hair...

If your hair is not straight, you are going to have to embrace your natural waves. Scrunching can make a big difference. If your hair is frizzy, then get a hair serum or get a haircut to thin your hair out.
In a few years you can ask to get your hair chemically straighened. Straightening your hair does damage your hair a lot. You'll need to talk to them and probably give them website sources about this. Straightening your hair every other day is better than every day. if they are worried about it damaging your hair, you'll need to get a deep conditioning treatment every week or so. But you do seem a little young to be doing this.
At your age, my friend did that to her hair but now she has this frizzy problem. Her hair is breaking off on the ends.
You can work with curling your hair with rollers and buns. You can make it look good as long as you have confidence in it. You may need to go out and buy a shampoo that enhances straightness or waviness.
Do you blowdry your hair after you shower or is it air dried?
You can blowdry your hair into a style you like. If you wrap up your hair when you are air drying it, most of the time it comes out with pretty waves.
Do you have any pictures of your hair? You are probably making it seem bad but most of the time, natural hair looks good when you know how to style it. [ queenhearts's advice column | Ask queenhearts A Question ]
katiekat answered Thursday September 20 2007, 7:03 pm: you dont leave us many options.
if you dont want to do curls, scrunching, braiding, pigtails, or ponytails, and you cant straighten i think the best option is to get your hair cut so that it looks good with your hair type. you didnt tell us what kind of hair you had so maybe get it cut short so you dont have to worry about it? or layers so its thinner?
Ashumms answered Thursday September 20 2007, 6:59 pm: There's this gel/mousse that I use that makes my hair look like I have it professionally straightened. It's called Paves Professional Flawless Straight and Narrow Repairing Relaxing Balm For Dry Damaged Hair. All you have to do is use about a dime sized amount for shoulder length hair and about a quarter size amount for longer hair. You may need less or more depending on how thick your hair is. Then you just blow dry it. It's great for really dry hair too, it makes it look really shiny. Comb it in evenly after you wash your hair. Try not to use it when your hair is dry because it makes it look greasy. Good luck. [ Ashumms's advice column | Ask Ashumms A Question ]
