getting my best friend back

Question Posted Thursday September 13 2007, 1:57 pm

okay, so i had this friend, let's call her Em. and she was seriously my bestest friend. but then all this drama happened during sophomore year of high school and our friendship fell apart. now we're juniors and we're cool now. like we say hi and we're friendly to each other and stuff, but it's still pretty awkward between us. like we don't talk like we used to and we obviously dont do all those things best friends used to do anymore. i really miss her. but i don't think she misses me because she has another best friend at school. i want to gradually become close with her again, but i don't want to seem SUPER CLINGY to her because that was one of the reasons why our friendship fell apart. what can i do to get my best friend back? any advice is welcome. thanks so much in advance!

I think you should casually start to talk more and ask her if she wants to do lunch sometime with you. If you have lunch with her once then wait for her to call you to do something next. If she doesn't then you need to consider the drama that happened. I'm not sure the drama that happened so it might be something to do with that. If you want to tell me about the drama it might help the situation and give me a better idea of how things got so bad.

Hope you come to a conclusion,
Zoelebee

Thank you for sending me the drama that happened this might help. You might want to wait and see what happens. Casually talk to them in person more than online, if possible. Online usually leads to misconception of words. If they can't get along they will soon be coming back to be your friend and do you really want them to be your friend after all that happened. It might be time to move on, in a year or so you will be starting college so maybe its time to move on. I hope this helps and good luck.

well, that would be kinda awkward.. but you can probably just go and talk to Em and let her know that you miss her.. the least she can do is listen to wat you have to say. you never know, deep down she may feel the same.. sometimes, we have to make the first step, it may get you far. if she doesn't act like she listening to wat you have to say, well from my perspective i'd just pray about it, and if you don't pray, then just talk to her and hope for the best....at least you'll know you tried first, and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that... lol.. i know i wasn't much help . i tried lol =) * Skyla *

What you can do is get along with her best friend,be very friendly,so she tells Em that you're a nice person,it'll be much easier for you to get closer to Em,or you should talk to Em in private, tell her you miss the way things used to be,what can you do so things can go back the way they were.
