I would suggest staying in and having a spa night, including masks, manicures, etc. This way you can bond without having to pay the price.

Yo.
I've seen some answers and agree 100%.
Hanging out doesnt mean spending money, I mean yeah going to a movie is fun and it costs money, but why not hang out out in your yard, or watch a movie thats played on TV. If you have Time Warner Cable then you could order a movie and it shows up on your cable bill. (and if your parents ask you to pay it, its only like $2.50 per movie or something like that) Talking is what me and my friends do whenever we hang out. We can go a couple hours just talking about school, who we like, etc. If your parents say its ok, have her spend the night. You could stay up all night playing card/board games. You could make popcorn. {i prefer kettle corn ;)} You could play outside, it may be little kid-ish but theres plenty of stuff to do. Basketball, four square, soccer, fun sport activities, trying gymnastics in the yard is fun, (but be careful) if you have a dog that will stay with you, you could play with them in the yard, walk your dog (me and my friends do that and talk the entire time, its better on walks cuz if anyone is home with you they wont hear you:)) play with pets, inside and out. Theres plenty of fun things to do out of town too. Target. Whenever me and my family/friends go there, we head right for the shoe section. Then we have an "Ugly Shoe Contest". Whoever finds the ugliest shoe wins. (You can really only do this at a Target because they carry REALLY ugly shoes) Thats all I got. Good Luck!!!!
Hope I helped! Have Fun!

I agree with the person below me. Hanging out doesn't necessarily mean going out on the town. Why not try doing something simple at home?

Blockbuster doesn't cost much, so have a blockbuster night. Get a few movies, & some popcorn with soda, and then relax & have a good laugh or cry. If you think that'd be boring, try just driving around. Maybe go to the beach or the park. If neither of you drive, your feet are always your best friends when you need somewhere to go & someway to get there.

If the park or beach don't sound appealing to you, try going to the mall & window shopping. I personally hate going to the mall with no money, but I know other people who have no problem doing so because they're not tempted to buy stuff like I am. If you hate going to the mall with no money too, try making a video together or taking pictures. Me and my friends usually do that if we're broke. Try going out to get fast food also. McDonald's & Subway are usually cheap if you can get stuff off of the dollar menu or if you get a 6inch sub.

There's not a lot to do that's free/cheap simply because supply & demand is so high that it ruins us & makes us poor. Plus gas-prices, and ugh. That's honestly the most I can think of right now, but if I happen to think of more things you can do, I'll edit my answer, so try to check back within the next week or so. =)

You don't have to go out to hang out. There are a lot of times where me & my friends pick someone's house to go to & do stuff there. We order food, watch movies, go online, call people on the phone, play board games, go outside, walk around the neighborhood, etc. If you really aren't into that, maybe just go shopping but you don't have to actually buy something. Hanging out at the mall & just getting pretzels or other snacks could be fun. Maybe go to a drive-in movie. Some are less expensive than regular movies. You can always go to stores such as Walmart. It may seem lame, but it is actually a lot of fun. If you go with large groups of people, it can be more exciting. Some bowling places only cost $10 per game & same with miniature golfing. It all really depends where you go. Try looking up different places in your area & their prices.

-hope that helped!♥
