ashleyyy45 answered Sunday August 12 2007, 9:39 pm: actually i have been diagnosed with insomnia and i have been for the past 4 years. its hell and i hate it but for me lunesta- a sleeping pill works really well. overthecounter sleeping pills not so much for me, but for my boyfriend (who is also insomnic) it worked wonders. its in a white box with purple writing and i wanna say it starts with an M but im not sure. but take one about 15 mins before you want to fall asleep. sometimes the pills make u dizzy/wooozy whatever you wanna call it, but they will keep you asleep for 8 hours. seriously no more no less. but after 3 days of lunesta i was sleeping through the night on a schedule until things started getting hectic again and now im out of pills and trying to find my own remedies. this works for some people and others not so much. but sounds of nature its called is music like the rain or a heartbeat that goes on for like 30 mins. i also would reccomend a song--i guess you'd call it that tells you how to breathe. i listen to that then to sounds of nature and it relaxes your body and mind and helps you fall asleep. its hard to get back on track. but laying in bed without watching tv or computer works too. you will get bored but eventually fall asleep. you jus need to repeatidly make a pattern for your bedtime. if you wanna sleep at 10 every night then get inot bed at 930 and lay there. its boring for a couple nights, but by night 4 or 5 your body will get the hint and move itself back on track... sorry if this isnt helpful for you, but sleep patterns are different for everyone. Make sure you get enough exercise. Going outdoors in the afternoon can be helpful too.
ComplexMind answered Saturday August 11 2007, 4:55 am: I'm going to have the same problem.
I start on Wednesday and I go to sleep at 7AM.
Basically, I've been sleeping all through when I would normally be in school.
What I've found to work is to not go to sleep the day before the day before school.
Try hard to keep yourself up to when you would normally want to go to sleep on a schoolnight and fall asleep easy considering you'll be exhausted from not having slept in over 24 hours.
