ear peirced 3rd time...?

Question Posted Monday August 6 2007, 2:53 pm

okay, so i've had a second hole peirced twice before, and both times they've closed up. I really want it again, but i dont know if it's worth getting it because i'm scared that it might close up again, so what are the chances it will close up? ..thanks.

Like Camille (woahtherebabe) said, if you clean it properly, you should be fine.
Also, don't take the earring they first put in out, until after they tell you it's ok. My friend's ear got infected like last week because she changed the earring =/
Good Luck!

I'm pretty sure you can get an infection or something, if its in the same exact spot. I'd ask the people who pierced your ears what they think.

Ear piercings are notorious for closing up really quickly. well, all piercings are. Lip piercings don't close up that easily, though. Anywhos, you need to properly maintain cleaning your ears [1 to 2 times a day] Give it a salt bath [Mix water with iodine free salt and soak it up with a cotton ball or something. Then damped your piercing with it once a day ot make the healing process speed up] Don't take it out or mess with it too much [closing problems along with scarring and rejecting] And keep it in for 6-8 weeks this time.

If you take those steps, you should be fine.

It wont close up if properly cleaned, and instead of 6 weeks of leaving them in, keep them in longer. This happens to me all the time! After that, you can take them out during the day, but leave them in at night.

Good luck.
