Call your vet to see if they can catch them and make sure they are up to date on vaccinations. I don't think it is a good idea to try and make them live with people. I tried that once and while they can grow to trust people they always have their wild instincts. Knocking things over, breaking stuff. If you really love the cats and want to keep one. You should probably let them live outside. If you are feeding them and caring for them the most likely won't run off. [ NightLight's advice column | Ask NightLight A Question ]

then you can give them milk and food and give them a nice warm bed to sleep in and hold them in you lap and pet them, and be really nice to them. cats love it when you pet under their chin and around their ears and on their stomach.
just be as nice as you can to them and give them lots and lots of attention.
while your at the vet, you can also ask him what you can do to make the kittens and the mom cat like you and feel safe and comfortable with you.
Sima answered Saturday August 4 2007, 6:36 pm: Before doing ANYTHING, you need to take them to the vet and make sure that they do not have rabies or diseases. Afterwards, just make them like a cushioned bed where they can lay down with the mama cat. Buy generic cat food in the cans, tuna, and salmon and feed it to them. They should grow to like you and the people around you! Don't forget to get them litter boxes and give them the proper attention they need.

They will slowly look to you as there mother when you are the person to give them food. When they are comfortable with you they will let you pet them and at that point just show them a lot of affection.
