Is it okay to feed a dog (yellow lab>8 yrs) plumbs? Can anyone give me a list of human food NOT to feed dogs...thanks sooo much!!!

Maybe give some free advice about: Pets? holahayley56 answered Friday August 24 2007, 8:33 am: Well, my vet [who is an extremely good vet, has the best vet hospital in town, and i live in a very nice town.] said a dog shouldn't eat any people food. if you want them to be healthy, they should strictly only eat dog food, and a treat or so every once in a while. my dog still gets ahold of some things off the ground, if they fall, or something, but its just not a good idea. because, you don't know for sure if any of these people are right or not. and what if they say something that could actually harm your dog. so yeah, i wouldnt feed your dog any people food.

The only things I know for sure are bad for dogs are chocolate (which can kill them), and chicken, turkey & ham bones (which can splinter in their stomachs). However, if you want to give your dog an occasional treat it should be fine as long as you avoid anything in this list.
