Sit your dad down and explain how you feel to him. Show him the facts. Then tell him how it's hurting you. Use as much emotion as you can to prove you point.
However, if he refuses to quite, leave it at that. Honestly, some people will never quit. My dad has told me though he wishes he never started, he's never going to quit because he just doesn't want to. [ Erinn_the_bamf's advice column | Ask Erinn_the_bamf A Question ]

kyliewalker answered Thursday July 26 2007, 12:18 am: it all really depends how good a shape your father is in.
if he is over weight and not eating properly he could be at risk
if he is healthy and rarely smokes he could be ok for a while
Smoking i straight out BAD
just tell your Dad that it is not good for him.
and dont stress everything will work out. [ kyliewalker's advice column | Ask kyliewalker A Question ]
sk8rgurl answered Thursday July 26 2007, 12:01 am: sit him down and explain to him how you feel, tell him youd do whatever it took to help him quit and how concerned you are. I used to smoke, my brother approached me, and helped me get over it. although i had only been smoking for a year or two, but honestly an extra person to help makes the difference. Let him no its possible, and that your there to help.
