You should definately start running. Maybe running 30 minutes a day. When I was trying out freshman year, we didn't have to run around the track, but we had to do perimiters around the whole area around the schools, around the football, fieldhockey, etc. fields. I ran all summer, so it was really beneficial. Soccer practices usually run about 2 hours approx. That's how long mine are running this year. You're probably going to do a lot of drills. You'll want to work on your ball handling. Practicing dribbling around your yard. Even when you're sitting inside, just pass the ball back and forth in between two of your feet while you're watching TV. Try to do it without looking. I'm not really sure how many miles you'll be able to run, because we never ran on a track, but more of a certain amount of time. When we do team runs they're usually about 15-20 minutes. So make sure that you can run that amount without stopping, atleast. Good luck with your tryouts.

hey. i play soccer for my high school. Each team and coach have different expectations.

for my school, we run about 20 minutes each practice, but for milage we usually do like, a ladder type thing, 1/2 mile, 3/4, then a full, then go back down.

our coach also likes us to wickedly be in shape, so we do a lot of callastetics. (push ups, sit ups, ect.)

then of course there are drills, like dribbleing skills and such.

but like i said, every team expects different things. your best bet is to be in really good shape though =)

anyother questions you can message me =)

hope i helped<3

I think you accidently put two of the same question. Erase one of them so you don't get in trouble.

Ok, you need to know:
How to juggle the ball
Kick properly
Score
What the terms mean
Alternate kicking- going from one foot to the other.

The team probably runs 3/4 or 1 mile each practice.

The usual practice is usually 1- 1 hour and 45 minutes.

At the practice, you do drills, and make up strategies

Well, we dont have a girls soccer team but we have a guys. Anyways, I would say work on your stamina, and get your legs in shape. Maybe run around your block at home. Maybe do some ladders, which is different techniques with your feet in small boxes. Its kinda hard to explain. I sure the practice would be maybe and hour and a half, maybe two hours. For practice they might not make you run a mile, but if they do, they might make you run no more then one.

Hope I helped

i'm a senior on our school soccer team so hopefully i can help (:

first and probably most important is running. you have to be able to run for long periods of time. (of course, it's not like an hour straight, there are times when you're not running. but you know what i mean.) usually our practices are two hours, sometimes more. also, you might want to choose what type of position you think you'd do best at- offense or defense. offensive players have to run more (at least in high school ball, but they're crucial positions because they score most of the goals. equally important though are defenders. they don't usually run as much, and they're more physical (rough) because they have to keep opponents from scoring, obviously. so begin to think about that and then look up positions & tips for those positions on google.

as for as a set amount you'll have to run, i have no clue. it all sort of depends.

anything else, just send me a question in my inbox. (:

I'm no sports expert but you'd probably need to learn the rules of soccer, soccer terms, and how to do soccer moves, (make a goal, etc.) You'd also have to be in shape and excercise and eat right!

Hope this helped!
