Mine get like that. If you are or think you are allergic, Take some benedryll. It normally helps with allergies, and allergic reactions. ]
it is possible, but i don't think you're allergic. if you were allergic, you would get really sick. i have a friend who is allergic to bee stings, and if she gets stung by a bee she gets really sick and has like splotches all over her arms and stuff. mosquito bites affect everybody differently. my mosquito bites are normally just the size of a quarter. do you throw up when you get mosquito bites? do you break out or anything? if you don't, i'd say that your immune system is just more sensitive to the bites. swelling up is your immune system's way of keeping you healthy. ]
"What do you think?"
I think you're allergic to mosquito bites.
I used to be incredibly allergic to fire ant bites, and the same thing would happen to me, except it could get a lot worse.
Fortunately I took small doses of the poison via shots and my body worked up an immunity to it.
You can't really do that with a mosquito, however, so I recommend trying to avoid them. ]
Yes.
I am allergic to those. It does swell up and it's itchy as hellx3. It takes longer to go away compared to other people's bites. But then again, a mosquito could have bit you twice as much and it's just red. ]
umm its not quite an allergy, its just your immune system reacts to it more severly than others do.
but what works when you get them is to take your fingernail and press an X into them. I don't quite know why it works, I have some theories but none that I can say as a fact. but it works better than most creams and such that I've tried. ]
Some people react worse. You can see an immunologist to get shots that will reduce the severity.
To stop a bite from itching, put a rag soaked in very hot(steaming) water on it for about 30 seconds. It'll stop itching for the entire day, guaranteed. ]
actually yes. in fact, its incredibly common, its what causes the bump and itchiness. its pretty rare not to be allergic to them, some people have no reaction at all when they are bitten. it seems that you are just more allergic than most. ]
