well not if it's like, cookie crisp! it has to be a cereal like Special K. like have you heard of the special k diet? lots of people have lost weight on that diet. anyway, so only certain types of cereal will help you lose weight. fiber one also helps you lose weight :] [ orphans's advice column | Ask orphans A Question ]
Alin75 answered Thursday July 12 2007, 11:34 am: It really depends on what kind of cereal. Dont get me wrong, you can lose weight eating anything at all, if you eat little enough of it. However, if we are talking about healthy weight loss, then the kind of cereal one should consider eating includes things like oats, muesli (the kind without sugar added), bran cereal, etc.
Its definately no good if the cereal one eats has sugar added to it.
So, to answer you as best as I can, the statement is incorrect unless one specifies what kind of cereal. Secondly, the right cereal has no magical properties either, and can be easily replaced/ supplemented with other nutritious foods suitable for weight loss. It does however make eating a good breakfast easier and quicker in my opinion. [ Alin75's advice column | Ask Alin75 A Question ]
