AskAndy answered Tuesday July 10 2007, 12:04 am: Most people loose about 100 strands of hair a day. If your losing more, it could be due to
*stress *heat *chemicals *and switching hair products
Also, if you wash your hair too often, like more than 4+ times a week, and you dont put any product in it, your hair can break due to drying. Get a trim if you have split ends.
Combs are better than brushes when it comes to shedding hair, but a boar bristle brush is the best kind you can have. [ AskAndy's advice column | Ask AskAndy A Question ]
karlyndarlin05 answered Monday July 9 2007, 11:56 pm: you can lose a lot of hair if you are really stressed. also if you apply a lot of heat to your hair it will dry out and fall out, like from staightening or blow drying. its not something to worry about unless you really are losing like an unhealthy amount of hair [ karlyndarlin05's advice column | Ask karlyndarlin05 A Question ]
LadyH answered Monday July 9 2007, 11:20 pm: There are a lot of factors that cause it - from hair product usage to genetics to the weather. It's said you lose an average 100 hairs a day. I wouldn't consider it to be a problem unless you are losing so much your hair is ridiculously thin & you're starting to have bald spots. [ LadyH's advice column | Ask LadyH A Question ]
