The truth is that hair doesn't get thicker, it's just the very top part, the thinnest part, is shaved off, so there's no more taper to your hair to make it look thinner. With (long-time) exposure to the sun and other things, your hair will taper again, but by that time it'd be really long again. They also don't grow back more, but tapers are shaved off, so you're able to SEE more of the hairs growing in. [ advicegirl367's advice column | Ask advicegirl367 A Question ]

That's why if you're a girl & you have hair on your upper lip, you should never shave it, because it will just come in thicker and you'll have to keep shaving it. If you shave, it'll come in thicker, darker, and coarser. [ leLovely's advice column | Ask leLovely A Question ]

During this time, your body is going through some crazy changes and hormones are raging. Because of this, body hair naturally becomes coarser and darker and perhaps even curlier.
