LadyH answered Sunday July 1 2007, 1:43 pm: Some places will hire as young as 16+, but the higher statused ones will hire 18 or 21+. It all depends in the area of town & the status of the place you are trying to apply at. The best thing would be to call around & ask a variety of places.
In response to your poor feedback - of course most people who answer this are going to give you the same answer. I didn't "copy" an answer. The age range is usually the same age all over the United States. If you only wanted ONE answer, the wise thing would have been to ask ONE person. You can be 15, but you can't work registers.
xomegaroni answered Sunday July 1 2007, 9:09 am: You have to be 17 in most places, but you can be 16 in some. Depends on the salon. If it's a higher status salon, you may need to be 18. I think 16-17 is average though.
