For my first car i want a fast car but it has to be automatic... I don't want it to be too expensive cuz ya know I'm not made out of money unfortunately =[... Got any idea's? I was thinking like a Mazda 6 obviously used but even that sounds a little pricey. None the less got any ideas?

The only one I wouldn't really recommend is the RX-7. It's a nice car, but it has rotaries and they tend to require a lot of work, so it helps if you are mechanically inclined, and I didn't see you mention that. You can get a nice 240sx for relatively cheap, especially if you just want a stock model. There are a lot of online forums dedicated to 240's, so you should check to see if your city has one and you can check up on it there. It's much easier to find one. Let me know if you have any questions concerning the 240sx, if that's what you are interested in. [ xoiiloveyou143xo's advice column | Ask xoiiloveyou143xo A Question ]
orphans answered Sunday July 1 2007, 10:41 am: every answer before mine is bullshit. you want a fast car, well then you've come to the right place. first off i need to know your budget. i'm going to assume a cap of around 5000 bucks or so. if so well we're good. first thing is if you want something fast. front wheel drive defeats that purpose. because front wheel drive isn't fast. think about it. in a front wheel drive system the front wheels have to deliver the engine's power to the road, take care of turning, and when you apply the brakes guess what the front wheels have to slow down before anything else. so the front wheels have three jobs to do. and something loses out in the end because of that. turning loses out. and you'll find in a front wheel drive vehicle when turning at speed you lose traction and slide out of the turn. and sliding out of the turn doesn't help. sliding through the turn like a rear wheel drive car will do is much more helpful. so let's look at some car choices.
ford:
mustang GT
thunderbird
mercury cougar XR7 (ones from 96 or before)
lincoln mark VIII
lincoln mark VII
ford crown victoria (it's a big boat of a car, but honey these things can move)
mercury grand marquis
mercury marauder (special option package on the grand marquis)
toyota:
MR2
celica (find the alltrac edition if you can, that is the best one)
supra
honda:
S2000
NSX (this is the most expensive car on the list. it's worth way more than any of the others, it's just on here because it's the one awesome car honda produced)
integra type R (one of the few front wheel drive cars i'll suggest, just cause it's proven it's worth)
volkswagen:
GTI
wolfsburg jetta
passat W8
any old beetle from before 1998
mercedes benz:
190E
C230
chevrolet:
camaro Z28
camaro SS
pontiac:
trans-am
trans-am WS6
fiero
GTO (they've gotten cheaper over the years)
but that's it i listed em as they came to me, and most are affordable. hell any of them can be had for under 19,000 bucks. which isn't hard to finance at all. and all of them can be had with an automatic. but honey if you really wanna drive fast, you'll have to learn to drive a manual. Go to a car lot that sells used cars, and take a look.
