I'm a cutter, and I have been for over a year.
I'm trying to stop. For the most part its working but I've slipped up now.
I have a very deep cut on my ankle, the spot on the outside where the anklebone juts out. I cut it over a week ago, and its just scabbed[lightly] today.
It has a pulsing feeling, and hurts like heck.
The cut is about an inch long, and fairly thick.
Is it going to be alright?
I can't go to a doctor, because I can't tell my parents. Also, Is there a way to stop the pain???
On the topic of trying to stop: Have you tried using rubberbands on your wrists that you snap against your skin when you have the urge to cut? It's worked before, and it's pretty effective with most cutters.
Now, as for the actual deep cut that you have...the cut could possibly need stiches. Which would mean that you would have to go to a doctor. But before you jump to that conclusion, put a lot of neosporin on it and keep it covered with a bandaid at all times, and don't forget to change them regularly. Wear pants so that your parents won't ask what it is. Take aspirin or tylenol for the pain. But if it is really bad pain and you can't take it anymore, you'll have to tell your parents because it could be serious. What I will tell you is my parents didn't react in the way you would think. They will most likely want to help you out of your situation and they should be understanding. And please try the rubberband thing if you haven't already.

on the issue of cutting you should really stop. i know that you arent jsut because i said so but you need to learn how to control and i know its harder than it looks, from experience. please please message me if you need more help. i have helped many people with this issue and i would be more than willing to help you. i know i am jsut a random person but i do really care and want to help. i understand that cutting feels like the only solution sometime but i could help you come to terms with issues disturbing you
please message me if you want help and please do see a doctor in some way even if you do have to lie
