is this sluttish?

Question Posted Tuesday June 12 2007, 10:09 pm

Is it slutty for a girl and a guy (that liked each other) to publically, loudly, & obnoxiously flirt..like in class? How far would be too far?

Thanks

It's not slutty it's just annoying...I'm not trying to be harsh but I mean, that's my opinion about it. Just publically flirting is no biggy but doing it obnoxiously and loudly is crossing the line.

Everybody wants to revel in a mutual crush every once in a while; it's not sluttish, but it can be disruptive and inconsiderate of other people around you.

Others could start rumors, typically at the expense of the girl involved, and it may put your friends off of your company.

I think that if you're concerned about the reactions in your own social circle, ask a few of your closest friends one-on-one what they think the boundaries are, what they think would hurt your reputation, and so forth.

Every circle of friends is different. Mine might tease a bit, then tell me directly to knock it off; other circles are less accepting.

Basically, figure out how to keep people comfortable, get a few close friends in your corner, and for goodness sake, don't disrupt your classes TOO much. ;)

Well, I would have to say yes... if it's loud and obnoxious, it may be seen as a little trashy. And I would say that anything that disrupts class, or makes people stop and watch, would be going too far. You can still flirt and let someone know you like them without having to let everyone ELSE know, too.

I would say that it isn't slutty, but it is a bit inappropiate. I guess it depends on the nature of the flirting. Simply teasing each other back and forth is fine, as long as you're not too distracting. However, excessive tickling, touching, or other things like that will most likely bother people around you. Just flirt in moderation, and no one will be too bothered by it =]
