it's no pressure, they really are my friends. they do drugs sometimes but i'm the baby of the group so thye don't force me or anything and they dont' do it when I'm around.

I never did drugs or drank before.

But i just want one night jsut to feel drunk, you know?

i say that if you do decide you want to drink after grad, maybe you should drink a little before that time because i was a sloppy, annoying person the first time i got drunk. now i can control myself better and know when to stop, so maybe party a little bit then drink after graduation, haha.
hope i helped!

Drinking is like playing Russian roulette. There is one bullet and you pull the trigger, if you're unlucky, you're screwed. However, unlike Russian Roulette, drinking has about 1000 bullet chambers instead of 6. The chances of something bad happening to you from drinking, especially in small quantities are very, very small. However, if the worst case scenario happens, which it rarely does, yet it does happen at times, you're screwed.

A lot of it also depends on the individual, some people are just really responsible and know how to handle themselves. those people will probably never get screwed over by drinking. if you do go drinking, I recommend just a few beers, enough to get tipsy and have fun, but not enough to get trashed.

It's honestly your decision-- you seem smart and well-rounded, so one night of experiencing what it's like to be drunk wouldn't be the worst thing. However, you seem to be really unsure, so I wouldn't do anything unless you're sure you want to do it. Just make sure you don't have too much, and be careful :)

Well let's think about this...thinking...thinking...um, NO! Are you crazy? I don't mean to be rude but you're out of your mind, don't mess up your life. You'll probably feel guilty about this later. Just wait 3 more years, and you can get drunk (legally) as much as you want, just don't drive home.

Nooo. Don't. You shouldn't have to have a good time, to be drunk. You can die, espically if your tiny. This one girl I knew, she got drunk at a party, she only drank 2 or 3 beers, and she wondered outside, and get hit by a car. yeah, she died. wait, i know more, another girl, who i somewhat knew, it was actually my friends siters, best friend, yeah, she was a perfect student A+ {this happened last year when she graduated..) had really good scholarships to colleges, she went to a party, after graudation, and she got drunk, and she fell asleep on train tracks, and a train came, and she died. oh but wait, theres more, a few years back.. there was these boys, who got drunk, they ran into a tree, the driver who was drunk, didnt die, but all of his friends who were not drunk, died. hold on i got a few more.. there was this other boy, and he was drunk at a party, actually, he was my neighbor, he got drunk, and killed a family. the family who had 2 young girls, around 3 and 6, were coming home, because they just got the puppy.

Are you willing to put yourself in danger and others? Just to 'feel drunk'

Don't be an idiot.
I don't wanna read about you in the newspaper.

I could possibly get in trouble for this, but I'm willing to take the risk.

If you want to get drunk, then do so. If that's comfortable to you & that's something you wanna do, then go for it. However, please stay responsible. Meaning don't get so drunk you forget your name. Don't get in a car with someone who's been drinking & don't drink more alcohol than you can handle. Too much alcohol will get you sick with alcohol poisoning & it's dangerous. There's also a chance of dependence.

Drinking all depends on age too. If you're 13, then no -- don't drink. 18 -- maybe? 21+, then definitely. But do what makes you comfortable & what you want. The decision to drink is your own, not ours.

heyimcaro answered Monday June 11 2007, 6:36 pm:
no one can make that decision for you.

personally, i wouldn't. it's against what i believe in, and i don't want the feeling of not being able to control my body. alcohol can make you think you're in control and doing everything right, but in reality, you aren't.

as for just wanting the experience, i can understand that. but think about all the people you see that act like complete idiots when they're drunk. i don't think you want to be seen acting like a complete idiot, do you?

so, i'm just saying, don't drink.

Graduation from what? College? Yes you should. High school? iffy, but I wouldn't want to advise you to do anything illegal. Junior High? definitely not. But thats generic age based advice. Don't do anything you aren't comfortable with, no matter how old you are.
