bLue_in_tHe_faCe answered Sunday June 10 2007, 6:07 pm: I think that is partly true. I mean, when you straighten your hair so much it gets fried and dead. Sometimes when your washing your hair and you have alot of dead or damaged strands they fall out. So i guess over time your hair can thin out- if you straightened it all the time it would probably look kind of fried. [ bLue_in_tHe_faCe's advice column | Ask bLue_in_tHe_faCe A Question ]
lolcool123 answered Sunday June 10 2007, 5:59 pm: Maybe, the hair just looks thinner because it's straight. Like, if your hair is curly and poofy, it'll look very thin when you straighten it.
Also, many people straighten their hair so much that it gets fried, in which case it'll be thinner. That usually happens if you straighten wet spots over and over.
But there's nothing in a straightener that makes your hair thin, you can get it cut to look thinner though. [ lolcool123's advice column | Ask lolcool123 A Question ]
advicer answered Sunday June 10 2007, 5:55 pm: i guess that could kinda be true. but it would take a reallly longg time. it would fry your hair really bad first. but i dont think it would make that big of a difference; that's noticable anyway. [ advicer's advice column | Ask advicer A Question ]
