to add to the other advicenators' great answers,
can i also remind yout that it IS a health risk...(to you AND the cat)

if her kittie litter is in your room, your room WILL become contaminated with germs over time,(as will her cat food if that is in your room too...which ould makethe cat ill )
as your cat grows older it will eat more ...do the maths lol.

its also unhealthy for you keeping an animal in your room- especially cooped up in a cage ALL DAY , the cat will need exercise (which is why she insits on rumming around your room)...do you let it out in the garden?

cats are very curious, outgoing creatures- theyre not like dogs who love to stay indoors all day, they like to explore :) (and they cant do that in a cage)

i hate to say this, but it sounds as if this cat is going to cause problems for itself and you if youve been restricted to keeping it in one single room.

its unfair on the cat. my mum is alergic to cats too, and it makes her hay-fever worse lol..but she loves them and so lets the roam freely around the house and outside.

if your mum is allergic to them, surely she would have realsied that having a cat would be unfair on the animal due to the standards you have to keep it in :(

and keeping it in just one room will STILL irritate your mum's allergy because:

anything in your room which will be shifted around the house, (for example your dirty laundry) will have "cat-ness " in it, so technically she will have contact with the cat, and also.. air circulates around your house and the "cat-ness" will be inter-twined with the air :)

i know you love your cat, but i dont think this is a good idea keeping her as

a) she sounds miserable ( and she could turn into a violent cat!)

b) its going to cause problems for you in the future.

is there a relative who wouldnt mind having the cat and you visiting it often?

if not, i would sort out something before the situation gets worse :(

the best way to make your cat love you is to grant her freedom, and show her affection after doing so.
dont force her to have a hug with you as this drives them away! haha

i wish you the best of luck!

Alex

ok well first off, cats aren't supposed to be kept in a crate. Shes prabaly mad because shes living a lot of her life in a cage. How would you like it? Cats need to roam free, and expeirence new things. I feel really bad for that cat, i would give her away to a good loving family that won't stick her in a cage and a room all day. That poor cat is probably miserable. Thats why your cat hates you.

its probably scared. and it may be teething. my dog does that, i mean it is just a baby, and there teeth are just coming in. buy it lots of toys, and cuddle with it, and talk to her, and feed her little treats. it takes awhile to bond with pets sometimes. oh and get febreeze. or those air scent things. (: thats what i did.

Alright well first of, pets are a huge responsibility.

1. Is she litter box trained? If not then train her. You will never be able to train her if you keep her in the cage all day long. She is a growing cat and besides that no cat should be places into the cage for that long. TAKE THE CAGE AWAY, PLEASE!

2. Get a litter box. Buy a good litter, not crystal kind. A litter with crystals in it is okay but I don't use that kind. I recommend a really strong clumping litter so it doesn't get messy and spread throughout your room. This will help with smell, odor, and make the cat happier because it can roam in your room.

3. Buy cat toys, the kind like a stick with string attached and fringey stuff (pretty much anything with string) are a person favorite of my cats. Cats love those things. Play with him/her a lot and she will get more attached to you.

4. Cats liking food and water out all day, unlike dogs, they won't over eat and eat whatever they have out. I suggest you don't feed her soft food too much. A great food I suggest is Wellness and I recommend you NEVER BUY FOOD from Target/Safeway/Wallmart,ect. Only from a REAL PET STORE. Another tip, a GREAT food WILL NOT HAVE wheat, soy, or corn AT ALL IN IT. DO NOT buy food with those ingredients in it and the first 3 or 4 ingredients should be ACTUAL FOOD like chicken/salmon/carrots.

Need anymore tips? ASk me.
