Preppy Scene Kid

Question Posted Monday June 4 2007, 5:50 pm

OKay is there anyway to be a preppy scene kid? I so love the scene style and everything. But i also love preppy clothes. I already own tons of Lacoste and Burberry and such. And i dont wanna get rid of them. So I need some help. Thanks and im sorry if this question is so confusing. Oh and if you can help me find some websites with some good scene clothes, that would be most helpful. Cost is no problem.
Thanks

Cody*

Just wear whatever you feel like wearing on a certain day, don't worry about what label you are falling under!
Someo of my friends used to call me the "emo prep", cos ne day I'll be dressed head to toe in A&F, and the next I'll do heavy eyeliner with like a CBGB top or something. I just wore whatever I felt comfortable in on that particular day.
Truly being "scene" is all about just doing your own thing, anyway.
But you might try these websites:

Scene and prep are pretty much very different styles, but who says you have to fit into a label? You don't have to be preppy, or scene, or moderately-preppy-moderately-scene. Just be Cody ;D. Wear whatever fits your style.

Honestly, I don't think you should worry about fitting into a style.
Wear "scene" one day & "prep" the next--just be yourself!
It doesn't matter, whatever you like & are comfortable in should be okay.
So just wear what you like & don't worry about a style.

especially for guys, this is kind of an oxymoron. Scene and Prep are 2 totally different types of styles, and they don't mix well together. You can wear different style clothes on different days, but I wouldnt try wearing scene and prep clothes together.
