okey, im 14/f and i dont have really acne but just pimples here and there, but it drives me crazy, everyone else has clear skin, and i want that. ive tried almost literally every skin treatment and nothing has worked. but now im wondering does ProActiv Solution work?
im 13 and the reason teens get pimples is usually because of hormones. you dont have to have oily skin to get them. if your skin is sensitive, proactiv may not be right for you. i say try other stuff first, then go to proactiv. it's really expensive.
viciousxpunk answered Saturday June 2 2007, 6:10 pm: proactiv does work for most people, however it can cause some people to have dry skin. if you really are concerned, i would purchase it and see if it works for you, because all proactiv products come with a 60 day refund, so if it doesnt work you can get your money back. no harm done right? ohsnapxxiloveyou answered Saturday June 2 2007, 5:58 pm: IN my opinion ProActiv is amazing. I started using it about two years ago because I was breaking out really bad, and I was sick of it.
But ProActiv works different ways for different people. Like, a friend of mine started using it as well, and it didn't work for her as well as it worked for me.
The only thing anyone on here can tell you about it is; It either works, or doesn't for them. But we can't say if it will work for you. Its something you just have to try for yourself. [ ohsnapxxiloveyou's advice column | Ask ohsnapxxiloveyou A Question ]
ImFakingHotPink answered Saturday June 2 2007, 5:10 pm: everyone has already told you, yes proactiv works. however, i don't believe that every other product you work hasn't. you are probably using the product wrong so before you spend lots of money on proactiv this is what i recommend you do and use.
go to your local safeway/wallgreens/ralphs whatever and go to the face wash isle. buy these products.
neutrogena oil free acne wash. it should come in an orange squarey bottle. use this one a day everyday.
clearasil vanashing acne treatment cream and only put it on the pimple once a day. however, don't use it excessavly because you're skin will dry out and you can get a dry skin rash on that area no longer than a few days but thats only if you use it like twice a day everyday for weeks. so only use it when you see a pimple.
using these two products for a week will give you results. also use a moisturizer at night, one that won't cause break outs and that is not oily. once a week you should exfoliate your skin to keep it nice and soft. i recommend you check out biore` for those two products. CheerCandi answered Saturday June 2 2007, 4:48 pm: different acne solutions work for different people and it might work for a short period of time but then your skin get used to it. (i use clearail)it worked for my friend julia. and it works for jessica simpson, diddy, and kelly clarckson. and could help for you 2 but its best to get a sample first to make sure. LM answered Saturday June 2 2007, 4:46 pm: Yes, ProActiv works. Since it's expensive, I usually suggest that you try other things first, but you already have. Buy one kit, at a mall kiosk if you can. (That way you won't be locked into getting another kit every 2 months). Try it out, and if it works for your acne & doesn't make your face turn green [that won't actually happen, btw, but your skin COULD get too dried out from the benzoyl peroxide], keep using it.
Another option is to see a dermatologist, or even a regular doctor if you can't see a derm. They can give you stronger topical creams [like Retin-A, one of the best inventions ever] and antibiotic regimens for cystic acne.
