Hey. I know you guys hate these questions, I'm so sorry.
So, me and my boyfriend had sex Friday without a condom. Well, he pulled out, and it was a few seconds when he cummed. Well, I'm really worried I may be pregnant. What are the chances?
A lot of people grow up learning the bad myth that if a guy pulls out before ejaculating that you're going to be okay. That's not the case.
Before getting very worried and worked up and jumping to conclusions buy a pregnancy test (get 2 for accuracy) and then if it's positive speak to your parents and get their support. Hopefully, you aren't pregnant.
In the event this turns out to be a scare please remember to always protect yourself with condoms or better yet condoms and some other form of birtcontrol as a back up if the condom breaks. Insist on condoms from your partner every time as it's for your safety as much as it is for him.
You might also want to look into NuvaRing it's a new device that is a ring that is inserted in your vagina and provides all the protection you need aside from condoms to be safe and there's no worrying about taking pills or accidentally skipping them at a precise time. A google search will yeild tons of info on it. That's what i'm recommending for you for the future. [ solidadvice4teens's advice column | Ask solidadvice4teens A Question ]
Ashumms answered Wednesday May 30 2007, 9:27 pm: The chances are 50/50 even when he pulls out, especially if he's not wearing a condom. His preseminal fluid DOES have sperm in it and it CAN get you pregnant by fertilizing your egg, whether you're on your period, you just had your period, or you're going to have your period tomorrow.
The 'pulling-out' method doesn't work. If you want to prevent pregnancy, then you should use a condom every time you have sex.
Also, even if neither of you have never had any STD's, it is still possible that one or both of you have some form of HPV. You should get checked for that and pregnancy.
S_C answered Wednesday May 30 2007, 9:25 pm: Please don't listen to the first answer. Sperm does not die immediately when it hits the air. There is always a possibility of pregnancy when having sex. Have you ever heard of pre-cum? Even that little bit of sperm could get you pregnant. If you worry about being pregnant and stress out it could delay your period. Try and keep your mind off of it and wait about 3 weeks then take a pregnancy test. Even if you get your period within the next week or so it's still possible to be pregnant. A friend of mind had blood in her discharge and went to the doctor about it. When the doctor told her they were going to test her to see if she was 6 months pregnant she told the doctor she couldn't be because she had her period about 3 weeks after having sex. The doctor told her that didn't matter, pregnancy was still possible, even if she had her period.
Let the be a lesson to you. USE PROTECTION. Don't have sex unless you're prepared for the responsibilities that may come from it. [ S_C's advice column | Ask S_C A Question ]
228gurl answered Wednesday May 30 2007, 5:27 pm: chances depend on if any semen went into your vaginal area and if you were fertile (ovulating at the time) this would depend on your cycle. Pulling out is not a good solution because semen can be ejaculted at any time not just during an orgasm. If your cycle is late the next month when it is due you will need to talk to a parent or another adult that you trust or buy a home pregnancy test at you local store or pharmacy. I am not trying to tell you what to do but please next time be more careful and use protection. The best protection from pregnancy is NO sex at all good luck :-) [ 228gurl's advice column | Ask 228gurl A Question ]
