Example: Stacy and Joe used to be boyfriend and girlfriend, but Joe broke it off. Stacy wants Joe to realize that he's missing out, so she hooks up with Eric (even though she doesn't like him) and makes out with him where she knows Joe will see. Joe honestly couldn't care less and just goes about his business. Uh-oh! Now Stacy is in an awkward situation with Eric, because she USED HIM. Plus, she still didn't get Joe.
sometimes it does work to make guys jealous. Joe could have fallen for it. But there's always a risk of it not working, which is why it can be a bad idea to make guys jealous.
Also, if you don't use someone else to make a guy jealous, chances are you're just gonna look slutty and that's definitely not good. <3
