I straighten my hair EVERYDAY, and Im surprised that my hair isnt dry, but i do have split ends and dead ends, but i cut my hair every 4 to 6 weeks. But to prevent my hair from over drying or burning, i used serums, or anti-heat, or straigting creams/sprays before i iron it. Place it on when ur hair is wet, especially your ends. Wait till your hair drys, and put another type of creame/serum on your hair, and more on the ends, so your hair is well protected from the heat. Not to mention it will look silkier. Use Frutis, Paintine (however u spell it) i think is best, or loreal. Make sure to use deep conditioning when you wash your hair. [ VixenLuna's advice column | Ask VixenLuna A Question ]
its_melissa_DuH answered Monday May 7 2007, 6:14 pm: EDIT: yes, it does damage your hair because they put chemicals into your hair to keep it straight. i think that it's so totally worth it because i hate to keep on having to straighten my hair because it wastes time and it damages it more. also, when you get it permantenly straightened and you get it wet or take a shower, it stays straight which is greattt=D so to answer your question, yes it does damage it but not as much as a regular straightener does. hope i helped!

Pantene Pro-V heat protecting spray, it works really good! that's what i used to use before i got my hair permantently straightened. hope i helped and good luck with it!
JackiexMarie answered Monday May 7 2007, 2:21 pm: I know an amazing product. It's called Fantasia Hair Straightening Serum. It's around 9 dollars I think, but it's worth it. My hair was soooo silky and soft after using it, and it also protects it from heat. Just rub a bit in while your hair is damp. [ JackiexMarie's advice column | Ask JackiexMarie A Question ]

Do not straighten your hair every single day find other ways, go to the store and buy good recovering hair products. [ xfrozenxsorrowx's advice column | Ask xfrozenxsorrowx A Question ]
