i REALLY want to be a model. I'm not pretty or anything and i dont fit the height and weight requirememnts, but im obsessed with americas next top model (the show) and i love posing and stuff. I took a few pictures of myself with high fashion makeup i tried by myself. can you give me your honest opinion: If i got some training could i be a good model? (and lost some weight)?
dirtyxkitty answered Sunday May 13 2007, 7:01 pm: no offense or anything but definately not. i'm not saying your ugly but, your incredibly average looking and i don't really see too much potential. [ dirtyxkitty's advice column | Ask dirtyxkitty A Question ]
JackiexMarie answered Sunday May 6 2007, 10:29 pm: Are you 5 foot 9? Are you incredibly skinny? Do you have a unique look? If not, then you definitely can't be a high fashion model like on runways. But you can be a commercial model like for magazines and things like that, because in those kinds of things people need all kinds of people. You need to be at least 5 foot 9 to be a high fashion model. [ JackiexMarie's advice column | Ask JackiexMarie A Question ]
orphans answered Sunday May 6 2007, 2:06 pm: I love that show too and I love posing too. It doesn't mean you're model material. You're just photogenic, if you're good at the poses you do. Go to xanga.com and type in MODEL. It's not as easy as it looks... [ orphans's advice column | Ask orphans A Question ]
ImFakingHotPink answered Sunday May 6 2007, 1:38 pm: first of all, the third picture is the best picture in my opinion. second of all, lip liner NEVER makes anyone look good.
for casting for americas next top model they ask for the girls to wear as little makeup as possible because anyone can look good in tons of makeup, it's those who look good without that count.
to be on americas next top model you need to really stand out they don't care if you aren't a size 0 but the ones who are plus size on that show have to be just as good as the ones who are a size 0, but still never last as long.
jelly001 answered Sunday May 6 2007, 1:35 pm: I think you could definitally do it. Some of the girls on the show aren't too pretty. And by the way, I think you are VERY pretty. You definitally have a chance. Just a tip, dont do your make up like that when you go for an interview. On the show, they like very little makeup, and if they want, the makeup artists will do your makeup like that on the shoot. Good luck, and I hope you make it. Veranex answered Saturday May 5 2007, 11:09 pm: Alright, my honest opinion is...yes you could be a model, and I didn't see your whole body so I can't answer with the losing weight though...to me you should lose weight because tons of models do that...and some people aren't the best role models if they lose too much weight you know? And hey, I don't fit the requirements either(XD I'm 5'2...) and I want to be one as well...but if you have that special talent(Even if you're not the right requirments)someone will hire you. ^^ I wish you luck my friend! (Hey, with the losing weight...if you do try, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE! Do it the healthy way...and not the diet pill way? If you want a head start with the health way, just stop eating tons of sugar and all that, drink only one coke(and before 6) drinks tons of water, run, swim, and hey, get a dance DVD that will help you tone your muscle and lose weight) or do yoga! And eat pleanty of fruits and veggies, and maybe don't eat as much as you do you know? Portion(sp) control, cause there is a certain amount of food you eat!)
