Q: I have an issue here and I need some advice. I am a second year university student and don't have a lot of money. I do not receive money from my parents and am currently relying on student loans to pay for all of my life and school expenses. Basically, I'm on my own, and a couple unexpected bills have cropped up recently. However, last year I did inherit five thousand dollars (read as: a year's tution) worth of jewelry from my late grandmother.
I know that my father would not want me to sell the jewelry, but he isn't a struggling student, and also isn't doing much to help my situation. Furthermore, other family members may not approve. However, I feel that my grandmother would rather that I have money to use wisely, as I would, than have a bunch of "bling-bling" sitting in a safety deposit box.
On the other hand, I realise that to sell the jewelry would mean that it would be gone forever and the decision would be final.
What should I do?

This is a very hard decision. If you are absolutely sure that you cannot get help from your parents or money from anywhere else, then I would suggest selling PART of your new inheritance. If it is, in fact, your final decision to sell the jewelry, definitely keep the most important/sentimental. Good luck--

Q: okay, this may sound kinda loserish, but this school yeah i made A LOT of new friends, and i became closer with my friends. me and my best friends have plans on fridays every single week, and i talk to my friends basically every day. it was my best school year. ever. now schools out, and i go to sleepaway camp for 2 months on friday. i dont want to stop this good year. im on a roll! i think im going to have a hard time at camp for two months. i cant ask this at camp, so ill ask it now. what can i do to make it feel like theyre with me, and make me less homesick. i dont mean writing letters, or bringing pictures to camp. i dont want to hear "youll get into the fun at camp and you wont be as homesick as you think" cause thats wrong. a little creativity would be helpful. ((no bringing food or electrical items to camp)).

Well, first of all, bring pictures of your friends! Also, give them your address at camp and tell them to send you packages! A few of my friends give me and other friends their addresses, and we all get together and make a big package for them! Have fun at camp. Hope I helped

Q: ok so in 3rd grade i had a crush on this boy. he was the first boy i ever liked. in 4th grade i found out he liked me too. in 5th grade he asked me out, and we've been going out ever since (over two years - we're going into 8th grade). so basically hes been like a major part of my life for 5 years, and we're like best friends and bf/gf at the same time. i love him more than anything! he really loves me too and he says he hopes we can be together forever.
well we both know that we're probably gonna break up at some point. we've even talked about it, that if we ever break up and go out with other people, maybe we can get back together when we're older and get married and stuff. well who knows if that would happen. you cant tell the future. but right now i just get so scared when i think about us breaking up. being without him would be like having part of my body cut off. i know in my head that i would get over it, but its so scary to think about being without him. its like before you have an big operation, you know that it will eventually heal, but its still scary to think about how much its gonna hurt.
i dont know... i guess im just hoping someone can tell me something that will make me not worry about it, or help me handle it when it happens. :(

First, I would like to say that it is great you guys have been going out for that long. And yes, 3years! Why would he want to break up now? If you can go for three years, you can go for as long as you want. You guys have what every girl wants :-). I think it is soooo great. Even if you do break up (hey maybe you wont! maybe youll last into your 50s?). For now, dont even worry about it. Enjoy being with him! Okay, usually I dont answer many questions. However, this one I feel I must. Now, I am 17. When I was 14 I had sex with my boyfriend because we both felt we were ready. We even used a condom. I got pregnant. CONDOMS ARE NOT 100% PROTECTIVE. I can't tell you how much that ruined my life. Of course I love my kid, but it was just too hard. I had to go to school and everyday people just stared at me. Not all of my friends left me, but it has been the hardest two years of my life. I strongly encourage you to not have sex for a few years. Q: I've been trying to get nice legs for a month,and I admit taht my usual 1.5 hour a day jog is helping.

Yes. Try cutting down on the running. I had the same problem! If you want to focus on toning your upper thighs, then perhaps wall sits? Sit up against a wall (as if you were sitting on a chair). Do this as long as you can. It burns, but after a while you get used to it. TRUST ME. It works :-). Good Luck.

Our new neighbors just came yesterday! I was excited because I thought there would be kids and that I could hang around with (considering that the only kids in my neighbor hood are 19+)
Well I was playing fetch with my dog in the lawn this morning and they came! they have 2 dogs so my dog went crazy and ran after them. I went to go get my dog and I met the lady. She has a 4 month son and she asked me if I was interested in babysitting him. I agreed because i could really use the money.
problem?? I'VE NEVER BABYSAT IN MY LIFE!!!
I'm so nervous now! we haven't scheduled a day yet but i'm asking you people here for advice.
What am I supposed to do with a 4 month boy? Do I just feed him and then watch TV or something??

If it is just a 4 moth old, dont worry, its not too hard. Change his diaper, feed him, give him some formula.
If he is asleep, you can watch TV. Actually, you can watch TV while the baby is awake, as long as the volume isn't too loud, and he has something to do. However, NEVER TAKE YOUR EYES OFF HIM.
Don't worry about it, everything will be fine. The parents will tell you what to do, and where everthing you need is. They will inform you about EVERYTHING, so try not to freak out. GOOD LUCK! I hope I helped.

I would definitally request a DeBeer envy. I have one and I am absolutely in love with it. It is made different from other sticks (is better for shooting/gives more power to the ball. Also, it has things on the side that makes it easier to catch). Also, if you are really serious about lacrosse, I would get a shaft. It makes your stick more "yours" if you know what I mean. It also helps your grip, and your game. Hope I helped!

Q: i REALLY want to be a model. I'm not pretty or anything and i dont fit the height and weight requirememnts, but im obsessed with americas next top model (the show) and i love posing and stuff. I think you could definitally do it. Some of the girls on the show aren't too pretty. And by the way, I think you are VERY pretty. You definitally have a chance. Just a tip, dont do your make up like that when you go for an interview. On the show, they like very little makeup, and if they want, the makeup artists will do your makeup like that on the shoot. Q: ok when i play lacrosse i usually play 3rd home (im 15/f) and sometimes when the ball is coming from up the field i dont know where to cut to, like if i cut up towards the girl coming will i get in her way, if i cut low towards the goal will i be in her way for a shot, if i cut away will i be useless? here's a picture of what im talking about - as if i am the yellow X, the ball is the purple circle, and im on the red team, going towards the blue goal. the red X next to the ball is the girl who has the ball and if coming down the field. im just a little confused on this, thanks

Hey. So what you do is you run towards the right corner, and then cut so you are running towards the ball. If they are smart, they will pass to you. Also, to answer your other question, cutting away from the goal may be a good thing if the person with the ball is going in to shoot. By moving away, you will take your defender with you, and give the girl with the ball a more wide open space to run in and shoot.

Hey! So, I looked at the bags, and heres my answer. I think you should get a nano, because you will probably use it more. However, I really like the bags. If you decide to do this, then you can save up. Personally, I think that you should get the second bag that you posted. I think its really cute, and since it costs a lot less, it will take you less time to save up. Hope I helped!

Q: 13/F. This entire school year I have been wearing a 32AA bra. My friends have always made fun of me for my little boobs. Well my mother got me fitted this weekend and according to the people I should be wearing a 32B bra instead. You could try a A sized bra. It is doubtful that you grew 2 sizes in so little time. This will fit well and not make you look too big. Hope I helped.
