ok i'm 13/f (recently turned 13) ok i havn't gotten my period yet, but i have everything like pucic hair, under arm hair, and a little developement of boobs. well lately my voice has been acting weird like when i'm talking to my friends or family my voice is fine but when i talkin front of teachers or in front of class, then my voice goes weird like a need to clear it. also since i live with my dad i dont shave anywhere, and all my other friends do- and they even ask me why i dont shave, and it puts me in a bad position. cause its really weird to talk to him about AND I CAN'T TALK TO ANYONE ELSE! and i need details about period things, any web sites or links will be great as well but please tell me as much as possible. please a.s.a.p. thank u

I'm not really sure specifically what you want to know (if you want to leave a specific question in my box, i would be MORE than happy to answer it for you) but there is this book called the Care and Keeping of You, By American Girl. Its really a great book that answers Everythingg.
HEre is the link to the book (the link is for Amazon, but you can buy it at Barns and Noble, and probably any other book store).

you're period comes when your ready kiddo.
you can grow all the hair but eventually your period will come, they come even when your like 17.
srsly dont worry.
and i live by myself with my dad too and i shave, when you go to a store or soemthing say 'ill brb i have to go get something' then go get some razors.
or if your embaressed go out with your friends to the mall go into a drugstore and buy some.
with them it will be a tad less embaressing.

I had a similar problem. not knowing who to talk to and being embarrassed but it all soon passed.
one website that can awnser some of your questions. [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)

but as far as shaving, well my mom wouldn't let me start shaving til 6th grade and I really wanted to cause I thought it was a way cool thing but once you start shaving, it just gets oober annoying cuase you have to do it regurally cause your hair will start growing back darker and kinda thicker.

Your period once it starts, for the first couple time may not be in a cycle yet so you may get one at wierd times the first couple times. It doesn't hurt! You can feel it. You may get cramps im like in you abdomen area or head aches.
NO big deal though.

Your voice changing is just another stage of puberty. It may be like this for awhile but your adapt to it.

Also you can always talk to a really good friend about this stuff who has already experienced her period and feel free to ask me questions.

Hope I helped.

It can be very hard to not be able to shave, and tell your dad certain things, because he dosnt witness them like girls do. Tell him that all the girls at school shave they're legs, and that you want to too. He should understand, otherwise, just get one by yourself, or have you friends get you one for you. If you have a grandma, aunt or close friend, that have gotton their period, talk about it with them, they'll give you good advice, don't feel awkward, all girls go through it!
