Ok so I am a prep, all the way around, its the group I hang out with and the label I am given, my thing is recently my mother went through an extreme pay cut, I am used to shopping at Hollister and AE, but since I wouldnt be able to do that does anyone know some good stores where I could still get the style I wear on a budget?
BlondBritBrit answered Tuesday May 1 2007, 1:14 am: Maybe consider a new style. One that isn't as critical on what brand it is. I used to be sorta preppy, but then I got really bored with the same old drama about nothing, so now I dress "bro-ho" is what most call it. It's so much more comfortable too. You could wear brands like famous and volcolm and stuff. Even if you wear brands that no one has heard of that look bro, they still look cool and no one will judge you.. unlike alot of preps. Sorry to say, but if you go from HCO and A&F to Kohl's... people at your school will know. There's something about that little bird and moose that make the shirt SO much better to some poeple. *sarcasm* [ BlondBritBrit's advice column | Ask BlondBritBrit A Question ]

They have designer clothes like AE, hollister, abercrombie, delias, dkny, marc jacobs, prada...etc, very cheep. yeah they have been woren by others, but who cares, its clean & no one will ever know. Some of my friends get there tank tops and shorts and stuff, at Limited too. they have kid sizes, they go up to like, 16? but if your not fat, you can fit in there. its more then abercrombie or hollister, but you get two bucks thing, and my friend spent like 200 dollars there, and she had all these 2 bucks, so she got like 100 dollars off. so yeah.
forever 21 isn't bad, but it isn't cheap.
target has pretty cute stuff sometimes.
so does macys, like i sometimes get my designer clothing from there, like DKNY.
wet seal
h&m.
charaloutte rouse, has a few cute things.

How about Plato's Closet? It's like the preppy version of Goodwill...but don't let that throw you off. It's actually pretty awesome and they have gently used Hollister, AE, Abercrombie, etc clothes there for cheap.
