COMPLETE HUMILIATION!

Question Posted Monday April 30 2007, 10:04 am

On saturday, I went to the movies with the boy of my DREAMS. I REALLY like this kid, and we've been talking for about a month, and My friends and I were eatting dinner outside and my friend made me laugh and i FARTED! and EVERYONE of my friends started LAUGHING and I started to cry because with me, farts dont exsist, like really, if i fart i get SO embarassed and I FARTED INFRONT OF HIM!!!!! And for the past 3 days its been replaying in my head CONSTANTLY and I cant concentrate, i cant go by the kid i like, i am completely mortified and humilated. WHAT DO I DO?! I feel like I need therapy because of it, im about to cry just thinking about it, because since then he's been different, and I dont know how to relax and let it roll off my shoulders! I'M MAJORLY STRESSING THE FACT THAT I FARTED! I know this sounds hilarious but its seriously screwing up my mental health! and everyone is telling me that i should just not even care BUT I CANT! it was SO EMBARASSING! and to top it off, we were supposed to be all kissing and making out that night and he didnt do it once!!!!!!!! THats why i think its different!

PLEASE HELP ME!! I FEEL LIKE CRAWLING UP IN A WHOLE AND DIEING!!!!! =[

well see, if you like him so much, you obviously don't want to lose him. and if you keep acting like this (being scared to talk to him) then he'll think you don't like him anymore, and he'll move on. now, you don't want that, do you? most guys actually like it when girls can fart infront of them, sign of comfort, eh? but, since you're like that... but really. you should've just laughed. but since you freaked out, i can understand why he's different. seriously, go talk to him and LAUGH ABOUT IT. there is nothing else you can do, but that. don't stress.

Really, you're blowing this out of proportion. I've done worse things than you and the guy even directly criticised me for it.

That guy you like didnt even criticise you, he just didnt make out with you. And just cos he didnt make out with you, you think that he's behaving differently? You, on your own part, thought that you two had to kiss, but in actual fact, I don't think this is a mutual thought shared by both of you.

Even if it was a mutual thought shared by both of you, he didnt do it maybe cos you were so obsessed with the fact that you farted that you prolly estranged yourself and kept quiet for the rest of the day. If you kept quiet and kept feeling embarrased, then how do you expect the both of you to get to know each other more during that outing, let alone kiss and make out?

You are showing your embarrassment to him. Because you are embarrassed, you start to avoid him. I don't think he's behaving differently at all. You think he's behaving differently but in actual fact, YOU are the one who's behaving differently. You don't dare to go near him for fear of embarrassment. If you're avoiding him, then of cos he'll behave differently cos YOU behaved differently and so self consciously in front of him.

You should just leave it. If you were in this guy's position, you would've laughed too. You are cute, not disgusting. Carry on talking to him as per normal. Shake it off when it comes into your mind. Don't think bout this farting issue anymore, it's really nothing. Seriously, everyone's telling you it's nothing. When so many people tell you the same thing, it really goes to show that it's a trivial matter.

just laugh it off
everyone farts -
so its understandable
the guy probably doesnt even care
youre making it a bigger deal than
it really is.. but what you really
need to do is stop avioding him
because you might ruin a relationship
that could have been great.. just because
of a stupid fart... haha

Why is it okay for boys/men to fart and it's funny but not girls/women?

Okay-- he probably knew you were embarassed and didn't know how to make you feel at ease so just ignored the whole incident.

Let it go, let time pass. Continue to be yourself and continue to talk to him as nothing ever happened.

Believe it or not, time forgets all things.

Move on and pass it or you will relive it everyday and cause HIM to relive it everyday!

You farted - its no biggie.
Its natural it comes with life.
Shrug it off and laugh about it, thats the only thing you can do!
