Alright, I found a tube of lip gloss on my desk at school today. well, it was victorias Secret, very expensive, it was a full tube, and it seemed like it was only used a few times!
well, what is the chance of me getting anything if i use it? is it even possible to catch anything, other than maybe being sick, but like disease or antyhing from it?
Additional info, added Wednesday April 25 2007, 11:44 pm: its not the type with the little brush, it just squeezes thru the tube. if so, is there ne way to sterilize it?. I buy my lip products, i guess i'd call it, from Victoria's Secret and it's twelve dollars a tube. Which is expensive compared to things you might find in your average convenience store. Whenever i misplace something like lip balm, i don't really botehr trying to find it because it's small, and generally unimportant, so i don't think the other girl is going to go crazy looking for her lip balm.
Since it is the kind that you squeeze, it's definitely more sanitary than actual lipstick. And you can wash the top where you apply it because it won't come in contact with the actual lip gloss.

Vicky's lipgloss isn't that expensive- it's 2 for $10 i believe and they last a really long time so just buy your own. i've gotten some on sale for like $2 once... leave that one there for the person to find. <3 [ LoveNJstyle's advice column | Ask LoveNJstyle A Question ]

If you really want this lipgloss, find out the flavor, and save the money so you can buy your own. Throw this one away or leave it there so the girl can get it back. [ christina's advice column | Ask christina A Question ]

there are many stds that can be contracted through lip gloss and sharing drinks. [ xo1234's advice column | Ask xo1234 A Question ]
Brandi_S answered Thursday April 26 2007, 1:37 am: Don't use this mystery lip gloss found on your desk any more than you would use mystery lip gloss found on the floor behind the toilet in a busy restroom.
You never know where either have been. :) [ Brandi_S's advice column | Ask Brandi_S A Question ]
Sabine answered Thursday April 26 2007, 12:34 am: You should turn that in. Someone might be looking for it.
Also, if she had viral herpes while using it and some of the lipgloss went back into the tube after she released it, then the whole thing should be considered contaminated. There's no way to sterilize it and germs love petroleum jelly, which is in most lip glosses.
