What I did to negotiate a later bedtime is to offer to go to bed at the set time, but be allowed to read until half an hour later.
I know it's unfair, but it's the price you pay for being the oldest... I know, because I got the same treatment. ]
this might seem un fair.
but just like everyone else.
its good that your parents have your bedtime at 930.
so just be thankful ]
I agree with the first person, But I will add a little more.
My bedtime is 10, but I want to get up at 6, which is 8 hours, which is what people my age, and yours need.
My alarm goes off at 6, but I sleep till 6:30, and I value that half hour so much, because I feel without it, I wouldn't be awake the next day.
Value that extra 30 minutes, it might not be fair, but believe me, VALUE IT!! ]
getting not enough sleep is bad. and getting too much sleep is just as bad. tell your parents that you think you're getting a little too much sleep and ask if you can stay up a little longer. yeah usually the older sibling has to suffer and the younger ones get it a little easier, but like the person below me said, enjoy it while you can! :] ]
trust me...take advantage of the extra sleep. when you're older you'll be willing to pay good money to go to bed at 9.30. ]
