Friends not telling me things

Question Posted Wednesday April 11 2007, 7:04 pm

Okay so i have a friend, lets call her Maria. Maria is one of my best friends and I'm pretty sure I'm one of hers. I think that she is really sick. She told 2 of our friends what was going on. Apparently she had to go to a hospital or something and she is going to be absent for like two weeks or something. She hasnt told me anything. I have asked her whats wrong and she replied "personal problems" on texting. I've called her and she hasnt answered. I have texted her asking for details. I have IMed her, but when I do puts up an away message. I am really concerned about her and its hurting me that she doesnt feel like she can tell me. What can I do to get her to tell me, or at least talk to me?

Visit her and tell her you are really concerned about her. Also tell Maria that it really hurt you when she didn't tell you what was going on. It is probably a hard time for her so don't come off as mean, just be really sincere.

go with what the other person said mostly but it doesnt matter what she has or had or anything it should just be about talking. Put this with what the other person said

talk to her in person. Look deep into her eyes and put on a "i am worried about you" face and tell her exactly how you feel.

tell her that you are her best friend, and she is yours and that you will not do ANYTHING to hurt her in any way. tell her that you are very concerned about her and you would never do anything to embarress her or make her feel bad.

It doesn't matter how many times you ask her, what counts is HOW you say it.

say it like it comes from your heart

PS: if she doesn't tell you, maybe she doensn't want anybody to know. it's her decion if she wants to tell you or not. you can't make her do anything. just forget about it if she doesn't tell you.
