Okay so i have a friend, lets call her Maria. Maria is one of my best friends and I'm pretty sure I'm one of hers. I think that she is really sick. She told 2 of our friends what was going on. Apparently she had to go to a hospital or something and she is going to be absent for like two weeks or something. She hasnt told me anything. I have asked her whats wrong and she replied "personal problems" on texting. I've called her and she hasnt answered. I have texted her asking for details. I have IMed her, but when I do puts up an away message. I am really concerned about her and its hurting me that she doesnt feel like she can tell me. What can I do to get her to tell me, or at least talk to me?

tell her that you are her best friend, and she is yours and that you will not do ANYTHING to hurt her in any way. tell her that you are very concerned about her and you would never do anything to embarress her or make her feel bad.
It doesn't matter how many times you ask her, what counts is HOW you say it.
say it like it comes from your heart

PS: if she doesn't tell you, maybe she doensn't want anybody to know. it's her decion if she wants to tell you or not. you can't make her do anything. just forget about it if she doesn't tell you. [ Volleyball2150's advice column | Ask Volleyball2150 A Question ]
