Lukeimia

Question Posted Wednesday April 4 2007, 11:27 pm

Last Tuesday, I went in for testing. I went in for testing because at cheerleading practice, I fell on my knee and it wouldn't stop bleeding for over an hour. And it didn't need stitches either. So the doctor in the ER had someone to come and test me and my results came back in today...I have lukeimia.
I didn't think of saying anything last week or this week until now because I was pretty sure that nothing was wrong with me. I guessed wrong.
I'm scared. Seriously, what is the survival rate. I don't want to die, and I don't want this cancer, I don't want any cancer. I don't want any illness. I swear to myself that God hates me and he just wants me to die. I hate this.
For the next month, I will have to go for more testing, and in Mayish, I will more than likely start chemo therapy.
I don't know what to do. Shit like this always happend your senior year. Next year, I will be a senior, and I know that this lukeimia will stop me from playing volleyball and cheerleading and dance.
I need help...I don't know. I'm just scared.

Hey, well first of all, I'm SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SOOO sorry about that, it really sucks. You don't have to give up cheerleading and stuff completely, just like temporarily, and start going back to it gradually. Well, the most important thing is to stay strong, and know that all your friends, family, adn advicenators people will be here for you if you need it. Live each day as a vacation, and have fun. You won't die, I can almost promise you. I know someone with Lukeimia, and she isn't going to die. Don't think like that :].

Well, I'm always here for you if you need me. GOOD LUCK<3!

The best thing for you know, is just pray. Don't think about dying, think about living, and live your life to the fullest.
If you stay strong, you'll be just fine. God loves you, and if you pray, and ask him for help, he will help you. Good luck.

I'm so sorry!

Believe me though god doesn't hate you. My mom suffered from hogkin's cancer, and it was very rough. Odds are you are strong enough and will pull through this. It's a though situation to be in but you'll be done with it. All the people that love you are going to be right by your side the whole time. I'm here for you if you need ANYTHING. You'll be okay, just stay in there.

God Bless.<33

Hey, im so sorry to hear about that. My sister died of cancer when i was young ( 10 ), and she was only 11 bu, she had a very rare cancer. The kind you have, has a very high survival rate depending on what stage you have ( 1,2,3,4) as in 1 is the best and 4 is the worst. Chemo will be tough and some people lose thier hair but hey, tis ok it will grow back! You dont need to b scared because you know your family and friends will be thefre to suppot you. It wont stop you from playing your sports that you love so you can still play! =P. I wish you the best of luck!

Awww, I'm really very sorry.

I know things may seem tough right now, but God does NOT hate you. He hates no one. He hates the sin, but not the sinner. Remember that. And darling, you've done nothing wrong, and nothing to deserve this, so don't think that you did.

Many people just are unlucky. I have mental disorders like OCD and Paranoia. I also suffer from Clinical Depression, Bi Polar, and ADHD. And there's a high chance of me having diabetes & heart diseases. There's a high chance I might have asthma and not know it.

Just don't worry. Just be happy that they've caught it, and that they're going to do something about it. It's still early & they can still save you. Just have faith, and live everyday like you've never lived before. I'll keep you in my thoughts, good luck.

I'm so, so sorry, hun... =(

I know chemo and everything will be hard, but with all the crap you go through for it, the survival rate is pretty high, though i'm not too sure of the exact numbers.

Once you get chemo over, you may also be able to do sports and everything. I've read many, many books and sucess stories where people have been able to continue with their lives fairly normally, and though it seems like it, God dosen't hate you..

I'm not the one to hear this from, but have faith in everything. It dosen't even seem like the time to hear this, but you'll pull through, with the advances in science being made.

Again, I'm sorry, and I hope you everything goes well..
