if i only eat fruit and energy bars and drink water a lil soda and energy drinks will i gain weight or lose it..pls dont talk about how that isent heathy..thankyou
angie91 answered Tuesday April 3 2007, 8:10 pm: Hey!
well its hard to say, if you live a sedintary livestyle, then you'll gain the weight because the sugar in the soda and the engergy products will catch up with you, but if you are running around and drinking the energry drinks while playing heavy sports then you'll probably lose weight. The fruit is probably okay, it'll basically stay even they do have alittle bit of sugar in them though so again, it alll depends on whether or not you're working it off. Glad you know its not healthy because some people actually eat that and wonder why they get headaches (sugar high). hope I helped,
love ya,

Fruit is good but vegetables are better; energy bars are PACKED with sugar and carbohydrates; soda and energy drinks are also packed with sugar and carbs and will also make you retain water and bloat. Depending on what your diet is like at the moment, you may lose weight simply by eating less crap - i.e. if you eat a lot of fatty/sugary foods already - or you may gain weight because it's not a healthy change in diet. Instead, try snacking on raw vegetables like carrots and celery, drink water NO SOFT DRINKS! even diet ones are bad - eat some fruit and instead of eating energy bars, just have a sandwich with wholegrain bread, it really is better for you and will give you more energy for longer than a big hit of sugar. Alin75 answered Tuesday April 3 2007, 7:59 pm: The only answer to your question is: Depends on how much you eat vs how much you burn. In other words, you need a negative calorie balance. You can gain weight on fruit and energy bars (which are predominantly carbs) almost as easily as anything else.
So I wouldnt say its a good diet idea (not taking into account that it isn't healthy). Its easier to lose weight when you intake substantial amounts of protein (which are harder for your body to digest, and which can help prevent muscle loss). This carb intensive idea does not sound too good to me. [ Alin75's advice column | Ask Alin75 A Question ]
theymos answered Tuesday April 3 2007, 7:55 pm: You'll probably gain weight. If you took out the soda and energy drinks, and added more of the other stuff, you'd lose weight. [ theymos's advice column | Ask theymos A Question ]
