OK i pick my lips 24/7
i pick them until they start bleeding, and they hurt ALL the time
I use chapstick all the time, and never go any where with out.

VASELINE!! i had this problem, exept now i put vaseline on my lips all the time, and it makes them not peel and then i dont pick at them. also, eat ice and drink water. if your hydrated, your lips will be smoothe, and then you wont pick at them. vaesline will also help with the bleeding.
&Hearts,

I used to do that. It helps if there is no loose skin to pick, so in the morning/evening after your shower when your lips are soft, take a toothbrush and scrub it over your lips to exfoliate the dry skin away, and instead of using chapstick try a balm, like Elizabeth Arden's 48 Hour Balm or Blistex. After a few days your lips will be free of dry skin and the new soft skin will take its place, leaving no more skin to pick! Hooray!

I do it too, but not until they bleed. Just until they look okay. When you feel the urge to pick them, do something else. Maybe brush your hair or something. Anything so you can get your lips nice again.
